STEP Compilation Eligibility: Core or Extended?

JareX

Question

Hi, I'm currently installing STEP 2.2.9.2. And I have the following questions:

1) What exactly is STEP: Extended? (I assume its all the mods that do not have the green bar before them, but I'm not sure)

2) I have installed SOME of the mods that do not have the green bar before them, and when I try to install the STEP Compilation, it says I'm elegible for STEP: Core, but NOT elegible for STEP: Extended. What should I do? Install as STEP: Core despite the fact that I have installed some of the "non green mods"? or should I install ALL of the "non green mods" in order to be elegible for STEP: Extended version of Compilation?

3) When installing the STEP Compilation I see the option first option "STEP: Extended Patch Elegibility" unchecked and grayed out. and the second options (which has the same name as the second option) is ticked with the words "Not elegible". This is very confusing and I really don't know what to choose.

Thanks :)

STEP Extended includes all mods in the STEP 2.2.9.2 guide. STEP Core includes only the mods in the STEP 2.2.9.2 guide with the green bar.

The requirements for the patches can be found in the STEP Compilation topic. In this case you have installed all of STEP Core, but you haven't installed all of the mods required to use the STEP Extended patch so you should either stick with the STEP Core patch or install the remainder of the STEP Extended mods if you want to use the STEP Extended patch.

I see.

This is not very clear on the guide, I think there should be a instruction that states that "either intall only the green ones (core) or intall everything (extended).

I ended up installing step Core and "some" extended mods. Which leaves me in the limbo :/

Thanks for the clarification.

Ive had similar questions.  The link above should tell you what you need to know:  You dont need to install everything in STEP Extended to be eligible for the STEP Extended multi-patch.  Similarly, you can install more and other than STEP Extended lists.

>For the Extended Patches you have to answer, "yes" that you did install Realistic Ragdolls & Force. They also require the following plugins to be active in your load order: (see list)

Also, I caught EssArrBee on Reddit a few weeks back, re. this topic @ https://redd.it/45v5ey

Theres still quite a few questions, such as CACO not needing by reason of inclusion 'Realistic Ragdolls', so ...?  But in general, it seems to be coming in to focus.  I've fired it up, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

You're mistaking Realistic Ragdolls & Force with Ragdoll Paralysis. With CACO, you should disable Ragdoll Paralysis. Not Realistic Ragdolls & Force.

What I mean is that if you want to use the STEP Extended patch, you'll need to install all of the mods required by the STEP Extended patch as listed in the STEP Compilation topic I linked earlier.
