Mod Organizer + SkyProc : 'Game Not Found' and Patcher Not Finding Mods

D3VNT

Question

Hey all, I'm almost done with a STEP install plus SkyRE(-main, -combat, -survivalism) and PerMa.

I've added Dual Sheath Redux SkyProccer and PerMa SkyProccer as executables, and they launch just fine. The issue is that on launch, an error "game not found" is returned. The Proccer still launches, but isn't finding any of my 200+ mods, and on close, says "Dual Sheath not found" or "PerMa not found" respectively.

I've searched high and low, but nobody seems to be having this issue. I do recall having this problem and solving it years ago, but for the life of me I can't figure it out this time.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Java has been updated to the most recent version, and I've tried running MO in Administrator mode. The patcher doesn't give me a 'game not found' error on launch, but still won't detect any mods, and returns the "Dual Sheath not found" or "PerMA not found."

Make sure you installed the the x86 version of the Java Runtime. The x64 version won't work and results in this behavior when run from Mod Organizer. Be sure to read the download page and installation instructions carefully so you don't get the sideloaded adware from Oracle.

In fact, you just reminded me I'm about to run into this same issue because I had to install the x64 version of the Java SDK for a project I'm working on. This means I'll need to figure out a way around this when I get to the patches section of STEP 2.2.9.2 and need to run the DSR patcher. I might just create an mo.bat file that alters the path environment variable to point to the x86 version of the Java SDK.

No, they don't conflict. I just meant that I have the path environment variable pointing to the x64 version intentionally for some side projects so I just need to find a way to get Mod Organizer to find the x86 version instead. It's not hard, so just thinking about a few different ways to do it.
