SRLE - First runthrough issues...

Recommended Posts

Heya, just finished installing SRLE for the 2nd time.  I tested each section up until the Animations and Skeleton section, but left off ENB for all testing until now.  I fired it up, and am having some issues...here are the images to referemce...https://imgur.com/a/kh7A9

  1. when I load into Alternate Start room, I see the 1st image at character creation.
  2. right after character creation it looks like image 2.  At this point i also get messages at top of screen in red saying "Hardware Antialiasing detected...some effects will be disabled".  I checked my Nvidia Inspector Skyrim profile and it looks like I disabled AA.  That being said, all the tutorials for setting up Skyrim show pics of old versions of Nvidia Inspector, and the new one is VERY different and complicated...can't tell for sure if I'm setting it up correctly?
  3. I also get a message at top in red "bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 is not set in Skyrimprefs.ini, or multiple copies exist...".  My MO\SRLE profile Skyrimpref.ini has bFloatPointRenderTarget=1...not sure what else could be messing up here?
  4. If I exit and reload, I get my game back mostly, but still see several oddities and crashes...see images for invisible water and invisible walls in bannered mare.

Any help on any of these issues would be mucho appreciated.

Thanks!

That message (and probably all the problems) is due to having a graphical ENB without the right INI settings.

Try using BethINI for your INI files. Run it outside of MO. Set it up for your MO profile in the first tab. It will restart. Then in the second tab make sure ENB mode is checked and choose BethINI High (which is similar to vanilla Ultra, but better visuals and better FPS...BethINI Ultra is for screen archers). Then tick the recommended tweaks box. Go through the tabs. You will want to set particles to 6000 for Vivid Weathers. On the last tab make sure grass types is 7 for SFO. Exit and save. It will back up your old INI settings so can always revert back if you want.

Thanks Nebulous.  BethINI fixed all my gameplay issues...everything is working as it should.

I still have one issue that doesnt seem right.  With ENB turned on I'm only hitting about 20-ish (+/-3) FPS outdoors and in cities, and only like 25 (+/- 5) FPS indoors.   When I turn off ENB I'm getting a pretty steady 60-ish FPS both indoors and outdoors.   That's like a 30-40 FPS hit...I don't remember ENB hitting this hard on my last install.  Does this seem right...or is there some other setting/s I need to look at?

Thx!

I have Win 7, I7-2700K CPU, EVGA GTX 970 4MB GPU, 16GB RAM.  Running on 32" at 2440.

At 1080 I'm seeing a 10-15 FPS increase...40-50 FPS indoors, and 25-35 FPS outdoors.  When I turn ENB off I get steady 60 FPS interiors and exteriors.

Here's my enblocal.ini...

Actually, I'm seeing more like 55-60 FPS outdoors in Whiterun area without ENB at 1440 res, and only like 20 FPS with ENB.  So the ENB is causing about 30-40 FPS hit in some places....gotta be a settings issue right?

with the full Vividian ENB yep that sounds about right especially as 1440p. I would recommend you try the performance Version or another ENB i am currently testing OrganicENB v2 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76783/?

for Organic ENB you need the vivid weather version and skysan elfx patch from organic site to be used and delete the one that's from the Unofficial ELFX SMIM patch. Also redo the vivid weathers merge and remove vividian stuff leave on the vivid weathers esps.

edit: btw make sure you use the v2 version

Loading it up now.  When you say use Organic v2, do you mean the optional file Wilds v2_0_1 enbpalatte bmp file?

edit...nevermind...v2 is the latest on Nexus right?

Also, should I use the supplied enblocal.ini, or keep the one I have per SRLE/LotD setup?

Thx

Wondering why the additional patch for elfx is needed? As I installed this for my base SLRE a week ago. Simply used the vivid weathers version and kept the in game data files from vividian for the vivid weathers Merge. Had too much of an fps loss with the enb DOF so disabled it and used dynavision for DOF and then used imaginator to tweak the colors. Not noticing any bugs.. the dungeons are a LOT darker than they were with vividian and elfx but I find it better looking. The elfx effects still work well light comes only from sources and has realistic levels. Wondering though.. if I don't install the ELFX patch will I run into stability issues later?
