Mod organizer mod options

nil99

Question

I can never seem to get MO to display the various install options info for mods. When the mod loads it just displays the info of the 1st option and no matter what option is picked the 1st is all you can see as you install. Is there a setting I am missing?

I apologize. It is kind of hard to explain. Say you want to install a mod with different options for textures. Usually when you select the different textures it shows you an image of what you are selecting, so you can decide which you prefer. When I select any of the options the image does not change from what the default option will show you. An example mod being maybe Amidian armor, or Smim. I can select options but I get no preview of what I am selecting. I am using MO 1.3.11. This feature works fine for me in MO2.

Okay so you're saying fomod install screens do not update their images on the various options.

Go to the 'Settings - Plugins' and select the "Fomod Installer". The options in the right pane should be both 'true'.

PS. I've moved this to the MO General support forum as it doesn't really pertain to any specific STEP issue.

Then I'm not sure why you are not seeing the image change.

What is different in your MO and MO2 setups? Paths, settings, etc.

The actual code that handles fomods has not changed appreciatively over the two versions so I'm at a loss as to why MO 1.3.11 doesn't work where MO2 does.

Nothing different about the paths or directories. Even a clean fresh install of windows. Nothing but skyrim and MO. Well if anyone gets an insight I would love to hear about it.

This may be the issue.  A vanilla installation of Windows (you didn't specify the version) may not have the required .NET framework and/or XML parsers needed by the FOMOD installer.

I'd double-check that you have the latest .NET service pack installed, as well as the appropriate MS Visual C and XML parser packages installed.
