Someone on Nexus said that itis dangerous to install any legacySkyrim (non-SSE) mods onto SkyrimSpecial Edition without at least confirming that meshes and textures conform with the new engine and opening and saving any plugin with the SkyrimSpecial Edition Creation Kit first. The person held that, even if do not run into any problems when not taking the mentioned precautions, it might cause issues later on, like save file corruption.

Do these statements hold true? What do you recommend? Please discuss. Or has this already been discussed somewhere?

Well, actually. I think this thread on the AFK mods forum pretty much answers my question. Save game corruption seems unlikely.
