Question

I am Sure there is a way to use LOOT for Both Skyrim and Skyrim SE, Since my LOOT has Both SE and SKyrim , But it Seems that LOOT is Getting Confused With Which Game to Load the Mods for.

So My Question is I am Modding SE and Original and I love LOOT but I can't seem to get LOOT to Seperate the Two Games, is there something I am Missing so I can Use LOOT for Both Games at the Same Time, Some LOOT Configuration I am Missing?

You can't can simply change the game using the drop-down menu at the top or you can add the game argument to the exe ( "--game=Skyrim" ) or ( "--game=Skyrim Special Edition").

For example, I use MO for classic Skyrim and WB for SSE. So in the argument field in MO I have: --single-process "--game=Skyrim"

Then for running with WB I just use the executable from the LOOT folder on the hard drive and make sure the correct game is selected from the drop-down menu. But you could easily just make a shortcut and put in the argument by right-clicking on the shortcut and going to properties.

Hi guys, I am new to modding SSE with MO 2 after years of modding skyrim, so I am no stranger to problems, but this I can't seem to see the answer to. I have 2 problems the first is getting LOOT to see my MO 2 mods. The second is with FNIS bad installation error, but this isn't the place for that I think.

My problem is LOOT is most likely not aware of the VFS that MO uses despite running through MO as an executable. Either that or it is aware but looking in the wrong place?

Both programs are running as administrator. The game data file paths are the same in both programs.

I am tired and have been experimenting and researching for hours and I just can't seem to find the issue. I just need someone to point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance, and let me know if you need something.

There are no issues with running LOOT from MO2, just remember to either add the: "--game=Skyrim Special Edition" argument in the executables dialogue box or choose the correct game from LOOT's drop-down selector.

If you can't get it work I need to see logs and your MO inis.

I knew it was something simple. The argument posted here was missing. This argument --game="Skyrim Special Edition" was not necessary in the old versions but apparently in this version it is. Once I input that, LOOT saw everything. Wonder if this is the case with FNIS.

Thanks for the help you guys, may the mods be with you. :-)

Update: This also fixed the "bad installation" error with FNIS 7.0 for anyone pulling their hair out.
