Hello all,

Sorry if I'm asking this in any kind of inappropriate format. Please let me know if I am; I just made an account here on STEP

Anyway my question is in regards to this vide() I understand that this is considered a good tutorial.

 

  1. What is the purpose of the whole STEP 2 part, that starts at 4:46. Why does he transfer the SFO files over to a new folder? Is this nessecary?

  2. In the tutorial, he tells you to download a myriad of assets at the beginning, and links them in the description, but in the tutorial itself they are never mentioned or used? Am I missing something. What about the DynDOLOD resources? The indistinguishable billboards? Enhanced trees?

Sorry if I'm missing something. I watched the video only once through, and skimmed it a 2nd time, so I may have missed something. Cheers,

I am unable to give support for 3rd party mods/videos or instructions. You should ask the creator directly.

If you wonder why you would have to install resources or do certain things, it may be a good idea to first read the DynDOLOD main manual and the differences of Skyrim SE, watch the included GamerPoets video. Then proceed to read the 3D tree LOD manual docs/trees.ultra/DynDOLOD-Trees.html

I wanted to have ultra trees/3d trees, as seen in the video. If I'm not mistaken, the trees in the distance are not displaying this correctly. Any ideas why?

I have read the DynDOLOD ultra trees document and made appropriate dynDOLOD ini tweaks to allow for ultra trees. When running DynDOLOD, the bottom panel was greyed out, as I believe it should be with Ultra trees. One source of the issue may be the fact that I created a separate mod out of a few select trees from SFO.

 

The elephant in the room is the lake...just...why?? Can confirm it is not RW2 that is causing it, as the same issue persists with unmodded water. 

Any help provided is much appreciated!

There is no need to create a new thread with the same question. I can still not help with 3rd party instructions or mods.
 
Whatever your problem with water has nothing to do with DynDOLOD since it only does tree and object LOD as explained in the manual. There is a Realistic Water Two LOD Fix mod available that might help with that problem.

Only you can find out if the tree LOD is 3D or 2D. Get close to the LOD trees with tfc and compare them to the installed 2D billboards and 3D LOD models.

Check the DynDOLOD log which reports in detail which full model tree uses which LOD models.
