Getting Started

This might seem overly general, but I can't find an answer.

 

How do I get started with STEP? I can't find an actual "Getting Started" guide, or a "How to Install STEP Extended", or even a list of prerequisites.

If you are using Skyrim Legendary Edition, the STEP 2.10.0 Guide is the place to start. If you haven't used any of the tools previously, you may want to read the Mod Organizer Recommendations and the Mod Organizer Guide linked at the bottom of this page. You'll always want to read all of the Detailed Instructions available links in the 1.C Install Utilities section.

I highly recommend videos by Gopher and GamerPoets. The STEP guide provides links to a few videos by both authors; they offer a lot of information and make certain aspects of the modding process easy to understand with easier to follow instructions. As a visual learner, they were invaluable to me when I was struggling with the written instructions.
