Ok, so I've been using STEP for years and I love it! One thing I don't understand though is when the time comes to clean the main esms (Update and the DLCs), I don't understand how the type of HD makes any difference. I've played Skyrim on both an HDD and an SSD. I've always followed the instructions to the letter and have ALWAYS gotten the same result which is in needed to replace the copied ESM before going to MO. When I switched to SSD, I figured the process would be a little faster, but it's not. I don't know who told you guys that an SSD would work the way you explain, but it doesn't seem like it matters. Either that info is wrong or i'm missing something.
SSD and cleaning ESMs.

The exact reason why MO1 users sometimes get differing results is NOT fully understood, and since MO2 is soon to be the manager of choice it is a moot point.
I'm glad you managed to get the results you did all the time, I did too. In any regards there is no issue here, simply move on to the rest of the guide.
