Requesting for a SSE MO2 ModList Backup File

yic17

Question

Hi. Can someone please send me their Skyrim SE - MO2 ModList Backup File (Not Load Order)? A backup file for the left column.

My Skyrim SE's mod order got reset and it's now in alphabetic order. I'm hoping someone who uses STEP as their base setup will have similar mod order as me. So I don't have to re-order every single mod again. Hopefully the backup file can help me at least re-order 50 to 70% of the mods.

I re-installed Fallout 4 recently and installed MO2 to manage its mods. But I didn't know MO2 can handle multiple games so I changed the file directory to point to Fallout 4 folder. When I switched back to my Skyrim SE's MO2, my ModList disappeared and now all my mods are ordered by alphabet. So I have to re-order all of them one by one now .....

The left pane of MO allows you to order the mods any way you like by using the top pane/row. It seems to me that you have accidentally clicked on "Mod Name". If that is the case, you can easily restore your previous order by clicking on either "priority" or "installation" (which shows the date the mod was originally installed).

@Majorman Yeah I know what you mean. One time I clicked "Name" and panicked. But this time the list actually got reset. Even clicking on "Priority" the mods are ordered alphabetically. Do you have SSE with MO2? I would be curious to see if your backup file can help me sort my mod order somewhat. Then I'll go from there with the rest of mods I have that you don't have.

No, not anymore. That's the thing. When I installed Fallout 4, I installed a second copy of MO2 because I thought it would behave like MO1 where each copy handles a different game. But MO2 handles multiple games - even with 2 copies, they both act as one program. So when I changed the directory to point to Fallout 4 folder with my 2nd copy of MO2 (thinking it won't affect my SSE), it resets everything I had with Skyrim SE. Now I only have one install of MO2 which handles both SSE & Fallout 4.

MO2 can also be installed as a "Portable Instance" also, just like MO1, two separate executables . If your original install is gone then you will be out of luck. Did you by chance Check "C:\Users\Your_User_name\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer" for a Skyrim SPecial Edition folder?

Edit: The above is probably true now if you are using MO2 to switch games. Did you by chance nuke the original install of MO2 or did you just overwrite the first install?

I just checked and while there is a SSE folder, the modlist.txt in there is empty. :v

Good thing is I had WryeBash so I could check active mods for my saves. Right now I've toggled all the mods to match my latest save file. It's just the mod order on the left column is reset so I have to re-order all of them one by one.
