RCRN is made up of two complimentary parts - an ESP similar to Realistic Lighting, and the post processor. So even if the shaders aren't installed, you would still see some of the effects.

Can I just get this one straight in my head ;)
So... the post processor for RCRN is the equivalent of TC's iCCC for RL yes?

Not sure if this helps but I recall reading a method for renaming one of D3D9.dll allowing 2 to work together - can't remember the details atm but it relied on using a [Proxy] entry in a script.
I tried to get info on using this method to introduce injectSMAA with iCCC but never did get any replies :P

Don't know if any of that helps or is just blather, ho hum :)

It sounds like blather but it is interesting blather, nonetheless.

Yes, as I understand it RL with the iCCC injector is directly comparable to the RCRN package. And I believe that you're also right about daisy-chaining post processors by using the proxy setting, but I haven't been tempted to try it. I'm really pretty happy with the way my Skyrim is looking now. Just need the Real Lights mod to arrive, and someone to figure out how to animate LOD waterfalls, and I'll be made up. : )

Wow, this wins hands down for the most in depth off topic discussion. Enb and symbolic links and wyre bash mashup.

Version 301 is available, make sure you uninstall the previous version and clean up any remaining files before installing the new version.

Version 302 is public, some significant changes here. Starting to look like it did back in Oblivion days, functionality is starting to build up.  If you upgrade from a version before 301 you need to uninstall first.

I would like to know the proper way to place a Wrye Bash patch along with the "General" patch recommended by Skyrim Revisited. Where would I place the General patch in the Load Order?  What modifications do I need to make, if any do either patch so they will work together? Thank you to any who respond.

Instructions for the General Patch's load order are already in the guide. Should be before the Bashed Patch in any case. If you're running base SR with no other mods, you don't need the bashed patch at present.

Actually, no. The instructions for the General Patch's load order are not in the guide. The guide explains how to set its location with BOSS Userlist Manager, which is not an answer to my question. The guide does not state where the General Patch should go. That is my question. Clearly if I need an answer to this question I am using other mods, because I have a Bashed Patch and I need to determine where the General Patch goes in relation to its position. So. If anyone else might know, my question was where would I place the General Patch in my load order? More specifically than "before the Bashed Patch"?

Actually Luinithil is correct, it does state where it goes in the load order as it states you should use BUM to have BOSS sort it into the "Extra Late" section, which means it will be the last file loaded before the bashed patch. :)

I am most likely very wrong here, but considering the question are you not using BOSS? Just asking because BOSS will sort it properly no matter what mods you add as long as you've done the BUM part in the guide

As title says, it would be nice discover a list of all mergeable esps into the bashed patch in order to reduce the activated esps.
