Introduce Yourself!

Hi there everyone!  I took a quick look around the S.T.E.P. forums and did not see a thread for old and new members alike to introduce themselves.  So come on in and, well, introduce yourself!

I feel that by doing so, more of us can grow to know one another in a way that could create a closer bond in our little modding community.  We are all here for a reason, some similar and some different, but there is one thing for sure and that is we all share a love and passion for TES5 Skyrim and other Bethesda titles (or a love/hate relationship, however you want to look at it :p )

I hope that everyone here will let the community know a little bit about themselves; hobbies, professions, pets, the whole nine yards!  Let us know what your interests are, what makes you tick.  We'll all do the same (hopefully :p ).  To be fair, I'll start!

Edit:  Stickied in the interest of keeping this open and easy to access by new members in the future.  Staff please let me know if this is undesirable :)

Hello everyone. My name is Mark. I am passionate about many things, but to name a few big ones I am passionate about art, books, and gaming (that might be obvious, I'm here aren't I? :p ) I am 26 years young and a night manager at The Good Shephard Mission, which is a shelter for the homeless, recovering alcoholics, recovering drug addicts, and a safehouse for those in need. While it is a demanding job on the days I work there, and the shifts are quite long (24 hours), I have grown to care for the people that have come through there and passed on from the shelter as they have picked themselves back up and on their own two feet again.

As an artist, I have taken a great interest in the world of Skyrim. I love to draw (though the old hands are quite dusty at this point), and Skyrim has so much potential to be an artists playground. While I have not gotten into graphic designing myself, I am always eager to see what graphic artists are capable of doing with the Skyrim game.

I hope that this community will continue to show the great care to me that it has so far. I hope to be of service to everyone here with what little knowledge I have, and I look forward to meeting everyone.

I'm a bit cagey about my online presence , but my mates call me Jay. (I call myself Monty, partly out of love for Monty Python, but also from my favourite line in all movies, from "Withnail and I" - "Monty you terrible c**t!"

I used to work in enterprise IT, but got pissed off, did some overseas volunteer work, and moved into british health care.

I'm not madly obsessed with gaming (much more consumed by music) but I found STEP to be a very civilllised hobby/learning arena.

You know I always thought this kind of thread was missing on this site.

As with Monty I'm quite paranoid about my online presence especially living here in the US with all the laws passed under Bush (or should I say Cheney). Anyways I'm not employed right now by choice I wish to focus on my college courses. I'm more into communal gaming than I am with single player games like Skyrim (hence I play more multiplayer console or online multiplayer games like the "Tales of" series and League of Legends)

I LOVE music, while I can tell the minute differences is speaker quality I would not hesitate to recommend my surround sound to anybody (well built but not an easily recognizable name brand) I'm also an avid video editor whenever I have several days to properly compose a video. I like making AMV's for fun, the medium is much more free flowing than live action for creating music videos and much easier to get a great visual quality encode.

That reminds me, if anyone needs any help maximizing their video quality and getting the most bang for your buck let me know. I used to do encoding for fansub groups.

Phazer11 is a staple I came up with when I first started visiting anime sites it's about as far away from my true personality as I could come up with.

I have no issues about presence...online or offline. My real name is Jeremy, I'm 28 years young and I work for JCPenney as the Lead Service Expert (basically I'm the manager over the entire floor). I ended up there due to the "recession"; however, turns out that I actually quite enjoy it. Traditionally, I'm learned in the art of technology. Hence the name, TechAngel85 (85 is the year I was born). I'm just a few hours short of my degree in Networks Design and Management...those are fancy words for Network Engineering. I had to stop school due to financial hardships ("recession") but fully plan on finishing that within the next couple of years.

Hobbies: I'm into tennis and play at least once a week (getting a bit cold for it now though). I also obviously enjoy gaming, anime, cooking and fixing up computers. The only music I listen to is ambient; if I have a choice. People call that weird but it sets my mood perfectly. If I need to relax I listen to soft, meditative or new age ambient music. If I need to have some energy I listen to trance ambient music. :) I would also like to finish the Mass Effect games but STEP takes up too much of my time. Will most likely have to put in for a vacation over in the Admin forums to have time to finish those games. Haha!

Not much else to tell really.

Hello! My name is Cory/AyleidRuin But I too am paranoid. But I live in the sticks of Central Pennsylvania. With land mines, Lighting Runes, and RPGs @ the ready. jk. I am in my twenties.

Hobbies are PC's=Building/Modding/very little scripting...learning.

I love Anime=Ghost in the Shell, Naruto and Sword Art Online

Movies:Star Wars, Lord/Rings, Star Trek

First got into modding with Morrowind (ah...Nostalgia) And off and on over the years.

The Elder Scrolls have always sucked me in.

Ambient Music is killer. Maybe it was all the anime with their ambient music. But man I really get in2 that. But I still have my usual rock fan boy collection: TooL, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, SoaD...but I like all Music in general, really. I mean if it sounds good. Has a good beat. A Good melody...It doesn't matter what genre it is.

I'm a little conspiracy prone. But I investigate anything that sounds crazy/shocking b4 depression set in. :P

Did yea hear about the Alien Reptiles controlling all Governments?

Or how about the greys getting kicked off earth around the year 1997. LMAO! or not?

I also like; to play Racquetball and outdoor sports=hunt/fish/hike. And Family comes First here. That's It. Thanks for Reading :)

Przemek here - or Bart for the sake of pronunciation ;) - originally from Poland, living in UK since 2003. I'm 33 years old and rising.

I have plenty of hobbies, video gaming being the biggest one, close to addiction in fact. I'm also into mountain biking, playing a djebme drum (member of Spontan Drumming Group, we play occasional gigs locally), arts in general: I'm a writer and poet, and also an amateur photographer. I'm a member of Barking Man art group, which is former Polish InvadARTs Art Collective. We organise 2-3 free art exhibitions per year. I also run one of the the biggest Polish literature forums for poets and writers and online arts & cultural magazine Via Appia. I help my girlfriend run the formal side of her clothing business, I've also got interest in global politics and sociology. I also love reading books, "The Witcher" saga being one of my all time favourites! Not sure if you knew, but the video game series is based on books :)

Oh, I also am amateur music producer and it so happens it's mostly ambient - you can check it out here.

As you can see I'm quite busy practically all the time, if not one project, then another takes up all my free time, hence my presence on STEP forums is quite random, depending on what I'm involved in with other projects. I browse STEP most often when I'm at work :D - I'm a Test Analyst working in Solutions Delivery department in a financial institution (stockbrokers).
