Not sure how some MO features work

Using the latest MO version.

 

Can't figure out how to associate The "Download with manager" button on the nexus with MO.

 

Downloaded all mods manually and installed them from file with MO and now all the version numbers are the date i installed the file (basically showing that they are outdated) and the mods have no category info etc.

 

How can I get around these issues?

The wiki covers this pretty well. You need to query info on your manually downloaded mods so that they can collect the correct meta info needed to set categories, Nexus IDs and version info. You don't have to do this when you download with manager. Click the Globe icon to allow it to Download With Manager.
