SRLE + VEGA

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon,

For everyone skilled enough to help me fix some issues with my current configuration, here it is:

1 - Some armors have no armor rating value (0 instead of whatever should be the value). My guess is that these armors come from IA7 (like "brigand plate harness" and "heavy painted body light shield");

2 - I don't have the proper animations associated with the one-handed on back (I should be able to investigate on that issue on my own but in case).

These packs (SRLE and VEGA) are great work imo and I would like to play with Hunterborn and SXP as well to achieve some survival purposes. Do you (anyone) think it is still possible to add them to this configuration?

Thanks for any reply.

How do you make categories like that? Where you can make this list at all? find this list?

ONTOPIC:

1h on back animations should came from xp skeleton, check if it is overwritten

Well,

I'm sorry for the modlist, I didn't get it would show all my mods installed (it was not my intent to do so). This list comes from a mixed from STEP and SRLE and makes a large amount of mods, I know. You simply have to create a new folder in your MO mods folder, filling it with a fake plugin like blank.esp to let the folder highlights in your mod list.

I'm not sure to understand your second question...

Thanks, will check for XPMS mod and overwritten files.

You really shouldn't be using the VEGA instructions with SRLE. If you are simply utilizing the modlist, then it'll work, but you will have to sort out quite a few compatibiltiy issues... Getting SkyRE to work well with a large modlist is not a simple effort - although things may have changed now a bit with the advent of the new mempatch and with the new SkyRe compatibiltiy patches available at nexus.

@SSL: Fine.

@Nearox: thanks for the advice. But the process is ongoing now as I really want to play SRLE and SkyRe (at least). It works well imo. I simply utilized your modlist as you said so. I guess I have to ckeck out the mod order using the advices from MO and look more on IA using TESVEdit. This below is what MO tells me:

The conflict resolution order for some mods with scripts differs from the corresponding esp. This can lead to subtle, hard to locate bugs. You should re-order the affected mods. The following changes should fix the issue:

Move $$$Skyrim Redone (VEGA) after $Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade

Move $Unofficial Skyrim Redone Patch (VEGA) after $$$Skyrim Redone (VEGA)

Move $When Vampires Attack after $Unofficial Skyrim Redone Patch (VEGA)

Move $Enhanced Blood Textures after $When Vampires Attack

Move $Provincial Courier Service after $Enhanced Blood Textures

Move $$$Alternate Start - Live Another Life after $Provincial Courier Service

I'm not sure this works well but I assume MO knows better about mod conflict resolution than me.

Thanks for your replies anyway.

Hmm I don't know what is the basis for MO's advise, but I would never follow it. BOSS + manual patching is the way to go.

Mod order with SkyRe is important, but use BOSS for that. You must manually tes5edit a lot of records if you want both skyre and your other mods to play nice together. There's just no way around it. These weapons & armor patches may take away some work for you, but they are generally only for the reproccer. SkyRe touches a lot of other things as well for which there are no (or very few) distributed patches available.

Eventually I'll add SkyRe to my own SRLE setup. But as it stands I am still getting crashes even with the mempatch (and am frankly banging my head against the wall) so that may still be a long time in the future.

Got it.

Thanks for that. I guess these patches should be installed after qotsafan patches and before your patch?

But as it stands I am still getting crashes even with the mempatch (and am frankly banging my head against the wall)

I tried my current configuration yesterday and went through whiterun on the first time without a single crash (something like 2-hours gameplay) and my rig is almost equivalent in terms of performances (I believe). I was probably very lucky this time.

BOSS doesn't rearrange your priority order.

Therefore, is your advice to follow MO's tips on installation order?

Alkira, installation order (i.e. the left pane) only matters when files are conflicting. Apart from that, the order you choose is for convenience only. I'd put SkyRe (and all the other gameplay mods you chose) at the end of the installation order just to keep it more organized and to keep your SRLE install clean - especially since it is still being updated every day. Then observe which files conflict. WIth gameplay mods, there are generally no files in conflict.

If no files conflict, it doesn't mean there is no issue. The 2nd compatibility check, which is usually the harder one, is the one of the load order (i.e. the right pane). For that you have BOSS + tes5edit.

ESP load order (i.e. rigth pane) and installation order (i.e. left pane) are generally not related - with the exception of a few specific cases where ESPs are overwritten by different mods such as with CCO.
