MO not extracting BSA's?

GunerX

Question

For some odd reason I cannot get MO to install BSA's when installing Mods now.

I can extract the zip file with 7zip and there is a BSA in there, but when I install it into MO the BSA is gone, leaving only an esp file that calls on a non-existant BSA file.

I can easily move the file into the mods folder, but its kind of annoying and makes me have to pay more attention to what MO is doing.

So what is happening and how do I fix it?

-edit-

upon further examination, its also neglecting to extract certain ESP files that are necisary for the mod to work.

What is really strange about all this is the fact that just a little while ago, this all worked.

I've been having this issue myself, most notably with Immersive Armors v7 and Winter is Coming. For IA7, all it unpacks is the ESP, no matching BSA or anything. For WiC it extracts everything but the textures, only meshes and the ESP, so I end up having a Skyrim full of people wearing big, shiny purple capes.I've manually solved both problems by extracting the files by hand, but it's still a hassle. MO didn't used to do this, as the first time I installed WiC it worked fine.I haven't changed any Extractor settings, either.

EXACTLY! I am having this issue with Immersive Armors. Just a few days ago it worked fine.

Install fomod update on MO page.

I did. I think the update is the problem.

-edit-

I just noticed something interesting. When installing Immersive Armors, MO says this: "Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.bsa not found!"

But...it is in there...

-UPDATE-

If you go into the plugins settings and change the BSA setting to "true" (all it is SUPPOSED to do is show you a dialog box with a yes or no when you install a BSA) and then select "NO", it will install the BSA.

MO FOMOD needs a fix.

-more update-

-.-;

Even though I can trick MO to installing the required BSA's and ESP's...it wont show them to Skyrim.

Immersive Armors is not being recognized by Skyrim, even though it is installed and tick ON in the load order.

The Immersive Armors MCM never comes up. SkyUI never registers the MCM.

MO is having some issues....

After seeing Neovalen mention it and browsing the forum a bit, I installed the Fomod plugin update from the MO page and Immersive Armors proceeded to install completely and gracefully.I'll do a little more testing with some of the other problem mods and speak up if I have any more issues, but hopefully that fixed it for me.

Ok. The issue is not the ESP, its the BSA.

There are some scripts inside the BSA that are not being read. I extracted the BSA, dumped the script folder right into the mod folder, now I get characters that have only heads, hands, and feet. Meaning it is using the scripts but not using the rest of the BSA.

So theoretically you could unpack the whole BSA and it SHOULD work.

No idea what MO is doing right now....
