Crashing with SR:LE + REGS?

Recommended Posts

I made sure to run Skyrim after each subsection of each guide to make sure that I would not CTD. I followed each guide as well as I could, the only deviation being the replacement of Mature Skin with SG textures for personal preference. I made the Conflict Resolution Patch as shown here https://wiki.step-project.com/Pack:Explorers_Guide/Conflict_Resolution#Conflict_Resolution. Finally, after I create my character and choose a start, I load the start but crash immediately after. I ran SUM, BOSS, and TES5Edit, and I don't have a clue where I went wrong.

I attached the Papyrus log, but I have no idea what the problem is. All help is appreciated :) Papyrus.0.txt

Not enough information to tell what you did wrong, you have checked for missing masters in wrye bash and TES5Edit I assume if that is not the problem and you have not added or updated any other mods after running ASIS and DSR (SUM) then the next likely area could be the files in your common/skyrim folder.

Check the skyproc stuff first though because it is a likely cause if your masters are all fine.

P.S. No offense, but looked at your file and thought OWW! Not looking through all that, it is usually the last few lines that show the problem though and with a quick look there my guess it is your ASIS patch or possibly the DSR one. These must be run after you have finished installing all of your mods.

I've fixed instability issues in the past by looking through my log, but I think I died a little inside when I saw the log this time xD

Unfortunately, I had to uninstall REGS, but at least my game is stable again. Thanks, anyway  ::D:

P.S Loved your Requiem pack btw  ::):

I did remove Books of Skyrim, so I don't know what caused it. If I had to guess, it probably had something to do with ETaC. Is there some way for me to save my current SR:LE setup, then create a new profile using all of the SR:LE mods then add on the REGS mods without having to re-install everything? My current SR:LE setup is so stable, absolutely no crashes or frame rate fluctuations. I'm still a noob with MO :(

I'd strongly recommend to indeed have seperate profiles for SRLE and SRLE+REGS. Also make sure that default SRLE is running stable for you before attempting to install REGS on top of it.

If you had done everything in order, then after the last mod of SRLE should come your REGS mods, so you could split it there and disable all the REGS mods to check if your SRLE install is working fine.

Just click on the Profile button up top (ID card icon), select your SRLE profile and hit Copy.

I'll try defragging to remove the stutter effect. My FPS is fine, it's just the annoying delay. Should I degrag the MO folder or the Skyrim directory? I'd rather not defrag the entire HDD (I start school tomorrow T_T)

@Nearox Thank you so much for your guide for SR:LE + REGS compatibility  ::):

Just wanted to say I was doing a few speed runs today (God Mode with speedmult 500 or speedmult 1000) with my SR:LE + REGs combo and am either CTD'ing or freezing in the area south of Kynesgrove (the steam pits with all the giants and Saber Cats). I'm using LOOT for my load order so maybe I don't have a rule or so I need. Checked my patches a few times but don't see anything glaring. I've checked. REGS, SR:LE, SR:LE + REGS and SR:LE + REGS + ENB guides to see if someone thought of something I didn't but no ideas. I'd tell you if it were a VRAM overload if In could but I can't tell since I have to log out to unfreeze it so Skyrim Performance Monitor tell me anything.
