This is a WIP guide for Tale of Two Wastelands, combing the worlds of FO3 and FNV into a single game.  I don't have a fancy name yet.  It is in a state of progress and flux like Mythic Dawn, rather than the more set C&PD or F&L.  This guide is more minimal than the other two both because mods need to be converted or patched, and because balance is completely different when using two games worth of content.  For these reasons, this is not a replacement for the other two, but an alternative.  It is suggested to make a separate TTW MO profile to play along side F&L.

This is a definite install for me, just not right now. I have always liked the idea of a contiguous Fallout world but baulked at the whole merge process.

 

Eagerly looking forward to see how it progresses.

 

Minor thing first off. Maybe see if one of the admins can tell you how to change the watermark image from the 'Dovakhin' to a 'Power armour user' like the other two Fallout guides.

  • Converted and tested Ramccoid's Mist texture for Fallout
  • Created Streetlights NMC Patch.  It will be included in next released of TTW Streetlights
  • Continuing work on conversion of mod assets to upgrade Fallout FX
  • Continuing work on fallout mesh improvment pack
  • Continued testing FNVLODGen.  It seems all bugs are sorted out now.
  • Working on HD ghoul mask correct rigging (will work for FO3 when its done).

Yea Zilav is packing up some assets and will release on the nexus when its done.  It will work of course for F&L and C&PD too.

Did some fun stress testing. Using Max options of all mods in the guide plus some not put in yet along with some ini tweaks I've found it takes just over 5500 caps to crash in the Open Strip: N4bNrhW.jpg

and can maintain just under 30 spawning 50 securitrons at a time and killing with missile launcher: yiFuUof.jpg

 

So all in all, fairly solid base mostly thanks to SRB :)

I've made a patch to get Chris's Weapon Enhancement Project Uniques to work with TTW.  I'm reorganizing the weapons section to account for all of Chris's new textures.

I made a patch for Emerald Reign's FO3 Hirezd, that now brings 10 uniques for FO3 all with their own texture/model, with most of the uniques for FNV soon™ to be released.

  • A3-21's Plasma Rifle
  • Burnmaster
  • Eugene
  • Lincoln's Repeater
  • Perforator
  • Protectron's Gaze
  • Smuggler's End
  • Wazer Wifle
  • Wild Bill's Sidearm
  • Xuanlong's Assault Rifle

As it stand these are incompatible with WMX. I don't use WMX myself as I don't think uniques should be modabble, but do you guys want me to make WMX versions? I want to gauge any interest if I should go ahead and make it.

You mention 11 uniques but Eugene is listed twice. Is that 10 with an error or is the 2nd Eugene supposed to be something else?

  • I added FNVLODGen now that's its publicly released. 
  • The number of uniques actually should be 11, I forgot Column Autumn's weapon.  I'll have to release it. 
  • I fixed the UV on EVE laser rifle mesh so Wazer Wifle should look better.
  • Tested new dust texture by Ramccoid. Its nice. I'm trying to edit video to show it as its difficult to see in a single screenshot.
  • Found bobbing boat + raft resource. I am making an .esp to apply it throughout both worlds, + change the animation speed.

  1. Added More Perks for TTW by Deadboy. It is optimized, bugfixed, and scripted so that it will be compatible will all new weapons, armor etc added by other mods (the original isn't, using hardcoded formlists)
  2. Added Lutana which it requires

Powered Power Armor will also be overhauled again next with similar optimizations and scripting so that all new power armors, FOV changes, vision modes (gopher, PN) items will now properly work together automatically!
