Hi, for some reason I can't get any mods to show up in the Launcher window despite following your guide to the T. I know this thread is old, but any help would be appreciated

Hi, for some reason I can't get any mods to show up in the Launcher window despite following your guide to the T. I know this thread is old, but any help would be appreciated

Hello all,

I have the same issue! I tried EVERYTHING what I could find on forums and nothing...

what am I missing?

I tried installed manually - nothing... I installed all mods with nexusmodmanager and still nothing...

I have Witcher 2 Enhance Edition for steam... Game works perfectly but I can`t see any mods in Launcher windows as well...

I really want to play this game, but I would like to play it with mods, because after Witcher 3 it doesn`t looks nice =)

Please, can someone share some solution for this issue?

Thank you in advance!

Archie

Extreme Quality Flora Compatibility Patch

is no longer available at the linked location in this guide, and search at Nexus reveals nothing.  If anyone has this archived somewhere, please post, and thank you.

EDIT:  look here https://forums.cdpro...mpatibility-fix  The link in mod author's thread is also reported down in 2016 and not resolved... :(

Also, please note comment within posts at FRC2 download site; these 'fixes' are not reported in this guide, which seems to be abandoned...

FRC2 is full of bugs and issues. It was never properly tested and refined for bug fixes. That being said FCR2 makes TW2 one of the funnest fantasy combat games I've ever played. I highly recommend FCR2 above all other TW2 combat mods with the following fixes:

- FCR2 (Full Combat Rebalance) Adrenaline and Finisher Fixes: https://www.nexusmod...her2/mods/687/?
- FCR2 Missing Armor Fix and Hoodless Kayran Compatibility Patch for FCR2: https://www.nexusmod...her2/mods/804/?
- FCR2 Summer and Winter Solstice DLC Fix: https://www.nexusmod...her2/mods/842/?
- Rune Renewal (for Ysgith fix): https://www.nexusmod...her2/mods/764/?

FYI, timed out on edit for above post, but at this time don't know if this link will work in-game...

Extreme Quality Flora Compatibility Patch

http://www.mediafire...atibility Patch

If anyone can explain how to use this .txt file it would be appreciated.  These are the instructions from the Witcher 2 guide, and it just doesn't make sense, unless I'm missing something, or the 'patch' wasn't provided in proper format...

Extreme Quality Flora Compatibility Patch

  • Author: EatChildren
  • Installation: Download the compatibility fix. Follow these instructions:
Navigate to your Documents folder and open your Witcher 2 folder
Open the UserContent folder
Open the extreme_quality_flora folder
Extract the cook.hash file from the download into the extreme_quality_flora folder overwriting/replacing the original file

This patch allows the Extreme Quality Flora mod to be compatible with the Full Combat Rebalance 2 mod.

Damn this STEP edit post time-out, so not my fault for spamming the thread...  Fingers crossed this will work...

1. Navigate to the extreme_quality_flora folder in your UserContent folder.
2. Make a backup of the file "cook.hash" then open the original with notepad [you must force .hash to open via file/properties].
3. Open the downloaded Extreme Quality Flora Compatibility Patch with notepad.
4. Replace the content of cook.hash with the text from the patch.
5. Save cook.hash and load the mod.

ALSO be aware:

https://forums.nexus...flora-v1/page-9

In order to avoid a gamebreaking bug that lets Geralt do insane amounts of damage, thus
making all fights extremely easy even on the highest difficulty setting, you need to start
a NEW GAME with the mod [Extreme Quality Flora v1]  disabled.

Once in King Foltest camp you can save, end the game, enable the mod and load the save,
then continue to play.

An early test whether you do normal damage or not are the manequins in the camp. If you
can cut them down in one or two light attacks then you suffer from the bug. On the "high"
difficulty it takes at least four to six strikes to break them.

I'm having a really weird issue.

I can't tell if FCR2 is working properly . I've loaded into a new game, and some things, such as the skills, seem to be working fine.  But the items are still showing up as their vanilla selves.

I've deactivated and reactivated the "acts" in the Mod manager from the launcher several times.

I did manage to get it to work right *once* where all the items displayed properly.  So i tossed on the graphics mods, and it broke again, and nothing I do will fix it.

The kicker?  I can copy this installation over to my laptop (both Games and Documents directories) and it works fine on my laptop.

Well, I found the issue, purely by accident.

Basically, to get mods to work properly with a GOG Galaxy installation of the Witcher 2, you have to actually run the game through GOG Galaxy.  I had been using the icon created by Galaxy during the installation process.

Why in the name of Zeus' bunghole that matters in the slightest, I have no idea, but apparently it does.  I'm now going to run all GOG games through Galaxy, just in case.

I always click More | Classic Installers to download the games without GOG Galaxy, but this is mostly because I'd never use it anyway. I just don't find the features offered by GOG Galaxy all that appealing.,

Yeah, if I didn't already have 2/3rds of my GOG library downloaded and installed via galaxy, i'd ditch it, because *that* was super-annoying.  I wasted a day and half trying to figure out why *certain* mods would only work 1 time out of 5.
