Muladhara86
I recently installed STEP Extended, and wanted to layer some packs on top of it. Do I load the mods from packs right after STEP Extended in the left pane, or should I reorder everything? If so, how so? Should I follow the same general order as in the STEP guide? Greg
Generally you want to load the packs after STEP Core and STEP Extended, although I think I might install Weather and Lighting after REGS. Link to comment
Muladhara86
Okay. Thank you, Greg. A couple more questions, please. Why WaL after REGS? How should I order things in the left pane when layering? Thanks again. Link to comment
Greg
I generally place lighting mods toward the bottom of the install order so the lighting changes override any "vanilla" lighting from mods higher in the install order, and REGS adds a lot of new towns/villages and modifications to existing towns and villages. In the big scheme of things, it doesn't really make much difference provided none of the mods below the lighting/ENB mods override the changes in the lighting mods. Link to comment
Nozzer66
Aside from what Greg says, if you add all the mods that add locations and worldspaces and areas first, (like REGS) it's a lot easier when adding over-reaching lighting/weather mods to know what patches etc you'll require. Link to comment
