Quick guide varies from actual data

Question

Hey there,

I've been running into a little bit of trouble over the last few days concerning optimizing the vanilla Skyirm textures. I've been following the quick guide, but the screenshots provided there don't match what's happening on my hdd. First off, the actual amount of files is off, though the batch files show the correct amount: After cleaning the files, I've got 33.096 files in my "Vanilla Extracted" folder, which clearly is less than shown in the screenshot after pre-optimization.

Furthermore, I can't get the file sizes provided by the screenshots after the optimization process. I'm using the settings provided in the guide, but DDSopt isn't reduzing the file size whatsoever: With ~5 minutes still to go optimizing the ordinary textures, the difference is about 2 MB. Since I've already tried this process once, I know that after the 2nd step my HRDLC1 folder is already bigger than provided in the screenshot (>2 gb if I remeber correctly).

The guide states 2048x2048 with everything at losless - what am I doing wrong ?

There are multiple screenshots so I'm not sure which one you mention. Before running the cleaning program you should have 33,340 files in "Vanilla Extracted" as shown in the first screenshot (Working Folder Screenshot). The cleaning program removes 248 files, so after it runs there should be 33,092 files in "Vanilla Extracted" as shown in the 2nd screenshot (Working Folder Screenshot after Pre-optimization). How many files do you see there?
