Darnified UI with Wyre Bash

Domjan1911

Question

Hi guys, I am trying to install darnified UI with Wyre Bash and I'm having some problems, hope someone can help me out.

I downloaded this guy's files converted to BAIN: https://forum.step-project.com/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=new_post&f=63

And I followed the instructions but when I get in game there's some weird problems like huge blurry black fonts & not being to able to use the menu with my mouse.
I want to install it with Wyre Bash because OBMM overrides my Wyre Bash mods and when I enter Oblivion I get some weird problems like meshes missing etc.

I googled on how to convert OMOD files to BAIN but the replies I saw were leading either to non existant web pages or weren't really informative.
If someone can help me on explaining on how to convert OMOD files to BAIN or if someone has a working Darnified UI converted to BAIN I'd be really appreciative.

Have a look at the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide

You will find a very useful walkthrough on how to turn Darnified UI into a BAIN, and notes on using the special fonts.

I dont have any files anymore to make things easier ( long time since I had Oblivion installed )

Look at the images tab and go to page three of the images, image c1 is the first image of the tutorial on doing this BAIN, its also in the Installers Creation pdf you can download.

You will also need the INI Tweaks for DarkUI DarN file.

Also a little known feature of Wrye Bash : If you drag and drop an OMOD file onto Wrye Bash Installers tab window, it can extract an OMOD to a project ( folder ). Then double click it and a windows explorer window should open the folder, then you can start making a BAIN out of it.

But you dont need that if you just grab the manual version file instead of the omod, as noted in the tutorial.

OMOD is one or all of two things, an archive and an install script.

BAIN is a scriptless install method.

The two are not closely related but can have similar structures.

BAIN is basically an ordered install using a bunch of folders that have the root of Data\

OMOD can have a significantly more complex and nested system, which required manual editing of the archive itself.

The script is pretty much useless if the author supplies manual install directions

Instead of starting a new thread of the same topic, I'm bumping. Could a python coder please take a look at this Bain Conversion at Nexus? DarNified UI BCF - Bain Conversion File

A couple people (myself included) are getting an error, which will not complete the process. It seems a lot of the work has been done and just needs a few adjustments, not that I know much about python at all.

Here's the link to DarNified UI , you don't really need to log in with the popup, afaik. I 'X' closed the window and was still able to download.

Thanks for this site, forum and for any help!  :)
