Merge Standalone: Output esp has merged file as master?!

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I just tried to do this:

Files to merge:

  • Bathing in Skyrim - Main.esp
  • Bathing in Skyrim - Followers Only.esp
  • Bathing in Skyrim - Realistic Room Rental.esp
  • CACO_Bathing in Skyrim.esp

Merge name:

  • ----- Bathing in Skyrim Merged

Filename:

  • Bathing in Skyrim - Merged.esp

Mod organizer says, "Bathing in Skyrim - Merged.esp" has "Bathing in Skyrim - Main.esp" as master. How can this be, if I shall deactivate the corresponding source mod?

Since I'm taking a shot in the dark... did you merge this previously? If so, did you delete the old merge before doing the new one?

No because, it occurred the very first time using Merge Plugins Standalone. I just tried it again. No old Merged Plugins Mods present. No other Patch or Merge Plugins active. Put

Bathing in Skyrim - Main.esp

Bathing in Skyrim - Followers Only.esp

Bathing in Skyrim - Realistic Room Rental.esp

CACO_Bathing in Skyrim.esp

In this order at the bottom of my load order shown in the right Panel of MO.

Used a fresh installed Merge Plugins Standalone:

Launched from within MO

Merge destiny: "C:\SkyrimApps\ModOrganizer\mods\"

Asset handling:

All handle options of the left group plus "Handle script fragments" and "batch copy assets" in the right Group checked

No Debug Options checked

Integrations:

[x] MO [x] Copy general assets

used paths:

C:\SkyrimApps\ModOrganizer\

C:\SkyrimApps\ModOrganizer\mods\

c:\SkyrimApps\Champollion\Champollion.exe

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Papyrus Compiler\PapyrusCompiler.exe

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\scripts\source\TESV_Papyrus_Flags.flg

C:\SkyrimApps\ModOrganizer\mods\

Marked

Bathing in Skyrim - Main.esp

Bathing in Skyrim - Followers Only.esp

Bathing in Skyrim - Realistic Room Rental.esp

CACO_Bathing in Skyrim.esp

Right click check for errors

Everything ok (white hook on green ground)

Right click add and new Fusion

Merge name: "Bathing in Skyrim Merged"

Filename: Bathing in Skyrim - Merged.esp

Merge methods: Overrides

Renumbering: Conflicting

Merge in "Merge Tabs" written in green.

Right click build merge (log shown below *)

NOW IT WORKED!!! No Bathing in Skyrim - Merged.esp - master reference!

Sorry for wasting your time...

Glad you got it sorted. :)

I need further advice:

Now I'm trying to merge The RealisticWater plugins. They have the load order priorities 105, 114, 118, 132, 167 and 168 in MO. You say in your guide they have to be "contiguous" and I shall place them at the bottom of the load oder before running the merge plugin standalone. Does that mean that I have to disable all plugins in between and below them? Because merge plugin standalone does not work if it is detecting wrong load order with respect to other plugins.

Just move those plugins to the bottom.

1st thing this was that did I. :)  Seriously, the merge plugins standalone sometimes complains about broken load order if you just move the plugins to be merged to the bottom. Then I disabled all plugins in between and below them and it worked...

  • 9 months later...

what i do for merges is I have a separate profile just for merging and only load the esp required for any particular merge and I have not seen any issue doing it that way myself

I've made a new profile, deactivated ALL mods but the required for merge. Now it works, yay. :)
