Fallout 3 has got to be the most error prone, glitchy, crashy, pos ever made.

 

I really wanted to play the game as I was huge fan of Fallout 1 and 2 (and I've tried a bit of Fallout 4 and it too seems decent).. but I just can't get anything to work :(

 

It's laggy, I get CTDs left and right etc. maybe Fallout 3 is just not for me and should try out New Vegas instead.. it seems as if development is still going on somewhat strong there.

Sorry to hear it is troublesome for you. If you want to try the actual storyline in a more solid engine try Tales of Two Wastelands which adds the entire Fallout 3 game into the Fallout New Vegas engine.
