STEP with Skyrim Special Edition (SSE) question

Siwel187

Question

Hey all,

So I've got Skyrim Special Edition (SSE) installed and i would like to use STEP, but i also have a couple of "problems" i hope can be answered if possible.

1. Can/Does STEP work with SSE? Or is there a separate section for SSE? It takes a long time to install STEP properly IIRC and i don't want to get half way through or 3/4 and find major issues.

2. STEP relys upon ModOrganiser to work, but MO doesn't work with SSE (officially). So would NMM be ok to use in replacement?

3. Wyre Bash says that it has "limited functionality" with SSE, is it still ok to use?

I did multiple searches for things related to SSE and answering my questions and i just couldn't find anything. So i'm sorry if these have been already asked and answered.

Thanks.

I'd suggest checking out this forum post: (https://forum.step-project.com/topic/11543-step-guide-for-tesv-skyrim-special-edition/)

I've been posting links to mods from the STEP that have gotten converted over to Special Edition, or could be alternatives to existing mods on the STEP in the event that they don't get converted over.

While you won't be able to do the full STEP in Special Edition, if you're looking for a list of mods from the STEP that have been converted over, take a look at this list:

If you want to play and enjoy a well modded skyrim right now just stick with original Skyrim if you have a good PC (I have STEP Extended + Vivid Weathers + Vividian ENB and I never go under 30 FPS and rarely Under 40 and got constant 60 Inside. You can see my specs in my signature.)
