I am using the STEP guide for classic Skyrim for the first time.   I am near the end of the process and am at the step to create a Bashed patch.  Before I create the Bashed patch I installed several mods that were not in the STEP guide.   This includes mods from Enai Siaion, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Deadly Dragons etc.

I want to try the Morrowloot Ultimate mod for the first time.  On the Morrowloot Ultimate Nexus page it recommends using Skyrim Immersive Creatures and Revenge of the Enemies.  I've never used those mods before either.  Here is the link to SIC.

I installed all the mods in Section 2H Characters and Creatures.  I assume there was a specific reason for why this popular mod was not included in that section of the STEP guide.  It looks like it adds a lot of new creatures that are not covered in Section 2H.   Is it safe for me to install this mod?  Is there any reason why I shouldn't use this mod and just go with the STEP guide?

Thanks in advance

.... a whole lot to unpack here.

To begin, if you're going to deviate from any guide but don't know how to understand and resolve conflicts between mods on your own - or aren't wiling/able to take the time to learn then it's pretty much a dice roll on any mod you may want to install as to whether it will conflict with said guide or other mods you've installed, and other users who are doing their own thing may have some of the mods you mention but not others, making giving good answers difficult.

Between Mod Organizer and TESV/xEdit programs however you can learn to check for conflicts and even resolve them on your own.  It is genuinely not difficult, I am a computer illiterate fool who learned without much difficulty once I finally bit the bullet and tried.  Most of the information you need is contained within the STEP guide and the linked documentation, if you read carefully and understand some basic concepts.

Enai's mods tend to be fairly compatible, but depending on which, likely will need some patching.

Legacy of the Dragonborn is a huge mod that almost certainly needs patching against STEP mods and probably Enai's, and is sort of thematically opposed to Morrowloot, probably conflicts heavily with Morrowloot Ultimate.

By the sound of it you may be interested in SRLE Extended: LOTD but it is a separate guide from STEP and you will have to essentially re-do everything.

Alternatively, there are Dreadflopps Packs for STEP, which are addon packs of mods that he has patched to work with STEP: Core or Extended, though they are at this point a bit out-of-date (I believe) as he is now working on/maintaining his SE packs.

As for why no Immersive Creatures in STEP...  I'd imagine they see it as outside of the bounds of what they do, though it can be configured to behave (mostly) like a vanilla creature extension if desired.
