Forum Software Campaign

We are officially hosting a campaign to purchase the forum software

All donations between now and until we've reach our goal will be calculated towards the purchasing of the forum software. This is the one software package we use which isn't free. Up until now, we have been using one of the Admin's copies, but we are at the point of needing to purchase this software by STEP, for STEP. This is so the software is owned by STEP and will stay with STEP no matter where the future takes us or our members.

For more information about the campaign and how you can donate, please visit the:

Campaign Page

We will not now who the users are that donate unless they use the same email address on their STEP account or they leave their username in the comment box. Else, the donation will be anonymous.

This campaign is closed.

Thank you all for donating to the campaign! You are all awesome!

The campaign ran for only approximately 12 hours. Donations from totaled: $1,508.41 ...in only 12 hours!

The excess will all be used toward our development server and normal operating expenses.

Wow! I just woke up and saw these posts. Thanks everyone! I'll talk to Z and update the tracker as soon as possible. All donations over the goal will still be used towards hosting expenses. We're hoping to purchase the dev server this or next week sometime. You guys/gals are awesome!

You guys really should update how much it says you have gotten. Just donated $197 thinking that was what was needed, not realizing it had already been reached XD

I just ran out of bed (should see my hair...  :teehee:  ) to update the tracker so no one would be donating any large sums under false assumptions. I apologize. We never really expect anyone to try to fulfill the entire campaign on their own so the plan was to update it once a day or so. We are truly grateful!

Beautiful touch using the Skyrim quest marker.   ::D: Do we get quest updates at each milestone....?

I hadn't thought about that, but it's a good idea for the next campaign!

Donated 20 bucks! I'd give more, but I'm currently unemployed and a bit short on cash :(

Good luck guys, hope you'll get the required amount!

Thank you for your support, Roots! I hope you're able to find employment soon! The job market is a bit rough out there in the States. Hopefully it's better where you are. And don't be a stranger!

Just donated guys!

Best of luck with the required amount!  ::):

Thank you for your support!

Donated $20 to the cause!

Thank you for your support as well!

@All,

As I mentioned earlier, all excess funds will go into the net for hosting expenses for current hosting and dev hosting.

I have spoken with Lexy and we have both agreed since we use a abuse STEP to donate the full $200.00 you need for this license.

Thank you both. We are very grateful for the support and for Darth's sacrifice! I've been thinking about getting a mic myself (just a Snowball iCE, though). Also know that we're keeping your Guides in mind when it comes to developing out STEP v3.0 because we know those Guides and the other guides produce a lot of traffic to the site. Don't be surprised if you get an invitation to the dev site once we get to the point of dealing with the third-party guides... :whistling:
