My Game is stuck at 1 fps.

I am currently in the process of installing step Extended for Skyrim at step 2.F. to be specific. I decided to see if my game is running correctly before continuing just to be sure. So whenever i use Coc Whiterun to test performance the game gets stuck at 1 fps however i can still here the audio as if it were running completely fine. As you can see in the First image there is little gpu , cpu and ram usage. However if i open up the menus at any time it runs perfectly fine. I can open up all of the settings including editing the mod configuration menu. Then when i use Coc QASmoke and load in I get 60 fps and it is playable. You can see an image of that in Image 3. I also tried installing Live another life to see if that would work. It ended up being the exact same as when i tried doing coc Whiterun where its stuck at 1 fps.

Steps you can take in troubleshooting this will be tedious. No one ever wants to hear that, but still no less true. But first, you should post your system specs. You could try running without ENB, see if that helps. If it does the obvious culprit would be wrong enblocal settings. Remove a mod at a time and run the game after each mod removed. This would identify a problematic mod. Other things to look for would be, double checking your ini settings. You could also verify integrity of game cache.

Are you perhaps pressing B at some point when the FPS drops to the bottom of the ocean? If so, this is the ENBoost brute force kicking in for screen archers. It basically forces the game to render maximum quality graphics for screenshots at the expense of very poor FPS. A number of users were caught off-guard when this was first introduced just by entering a character name during the intro that contains a B. I always set KeyBruteForce=0 to disable the shortcut key for this feature.

System Specs will definitely be useful here. The only other thing I can think of is to use BethINI to ensure your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files are in good working order. I also have these differences in enblocal.ini, although I doubt these changes will cause the behavior you are seeing. I'd definitely use BethINI first since some of the settings in Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini can do some really odd things.

I hope you meant to say the enblocal.ini and not your skyrim ini's. Cause if you removed enb, and things worked correctly, like I stated, the culprit would be incorrect enb settings. So, you should definitely be going back over the enb setup again.

 

But I am glad to hear you are getting somewhere with your issue.
