Ok, so in the end you need the 2015 version of VCRedist for it to work. The problem is that the 2017 version removes the 2015 version unlike other updates before.

 

 

I just removed the VCRedist 2017 and reinstall the 2015, launch DynDoLod64 and everything works. By installing VCRedist 2017 after seeing that it deletes the 2015 version, it is the return of the errors.

Not sure what you are doing with your setup, but for my Windows 7 it is enough and works perfectly with a VCRedist 2017 and no 2015.

Everything is fine setup but thank you to care. I solved the problem simply by unblocking the DynDoLod files in "properties".
 
Sometimes it is not enough to create minor problems. Thank you for answering me.

I'm getting some strange lod generation.  I have been using DynDOLOD on LE for a long time successfully.  In SE, some of the lod trees don't disappear.  I can walk up to a lod tree.  Any ideas on how to fix that?

A: If the load order / priority of mods adding or changing tree references was changed, generate tree LOD again so it matches the new load order.

So there's a good chance this is user error, but I was hoping you could help identify a CTD. I ran Dyndolod following the Open Cities instructions, and mostly it works great, but near Whiterun (around coords X: -6584.1787, Y: -15192.61, Cell -2,-4, facing towards Bleak Falls Barrow) I CTD. Following the readme, I enabled papyrus logging in and debug mode in DynDOLOD, and these are the last lines in my papyrus log. However, deleting any/all of the NIFs mentioned there doesn't seem to have an effect.

Instead of removing the nif a better test is to remove the reference from the plugin (I need to update the instructions)

Find the first Form ID from mentioned, the one after [sHESON_DynDOLOD_LODObject ]) and remove it from the DynDOLOD plugin with xEdit.

 

Start with the last one and work your way up. You only need to look at nifs mentioned in the last second that is reported to the log.

You can assume that nifs from DynDOLOD Resources SE do not cause CTD, but might test them as well just to be sure nothing happened to them.

 

Check the DynDOLOD log for messages about missing nifs.

 

I can not say anything about models from CreationClub or having such plugins in the load order as I am not able to test paid mods. The meshes are probably safe, since they are enabled a second earlier, but I do not know what ESL plugins do to the load order. It might be a good idea to do a test without them.

OK, I'll try that...but there is an issue with that that this reminds me of: DynDOLOD.esm uses cceejsse001-hstead.esm as a master, and SSEEdit always loads DynDOLOD.esm before cceejsse001-hstead.esm, meaning I can't load it in SSEEdit without a lot of messing with stuff.

I'll let you know how the test works.

Yeah, that does not sound right and is likely to cause problems. Best to generate new DynDOLOD plugins without that paid mod (you can just temporary move it out of the Data folder before starting DynDOLOD and then put it back)

Also, the crash doesn't happen if I disable DynDOLOD.esp and leave DynDOLOD.esm enabled, that's probably important to note.

OK, regenerating without the paid Homestead mod. Will an update to DynDOLOD in the future tell it to ignore that mod automatically?

With the next update all paid mods will be ignored for now, regardless of the outcome.

Gah I spent two hours regenerating DynDOLOD only to discover that along with the esm using homestead, the esp used ccbgsse018-shadowrend.esl as a master....maybe I can still make it work for purposes of just removing the refids for the crash.

 

 

EDIT: Well, I'll need to test more, but it seems that removing the Homestead paid mod and regenerating DynDOLOD fixed the crash for now.

Hi Sheeson, can you tell me if there's any special attention required for Qaxe's Questorium? He says on its description that it may require some extra attention for DynDOLOD, but doesn't sepcify that any further. On the Oldrim page he just refers to the DynDOLOD page (without any link). What I'm suspecting is that something with the included player home at whitewater falls (whitewater chalet player home) seems to crash my game as soon as the LOD for the house should be visible. But that's only speculation as I simply cannot see it and get CTD before it becomes visible. The weird thing is - it worked fine with DynDOLOD all the time. The crashes started appearing when I updated his mod from 8 to 8.2 (latest final version. But he hasn't changed anything related to objects, etc, as far as I can tell, because the changelog says something else and also the files are dated to a prior date. So in theroy nothing has changed on that... Idk). However, he's out of business atm, no comments tab, nothing. 

I tried a clean uninstall/install of both mods - QQ and DynDOLOD, also rebuilt DDL from scratch two times... Nothing in the logs or minicrashdump refers to anything helpful. This is the only thing I've noticed - when I walk towards this place at Whiewater Falls, it crashes as soon as the house should come in sight.

With the latest 2.36 beta there is nothing special to be done as far as I know. I tested the Skyrim version (v32 I think) to check for visual problems and all was fine.

 

Crashes means something is wrong. Obviously the first test is to check if the problem stops without DynDOLOD plugins in the load order, since if it continues it is something else.

 

It is could be a missing/broken mesh. With Skyrim, Crash Fixes would have a nice error message. With Skyrim SE it is a bit more involved to test if that is the problem. Check the DynDOLOD log for reports about missing meshes. If that does not help, do the debug test explained in DynDOLOD-README.txt (Read online version https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59721?tab=docs as it newer)

 

Let me know how this goes, I will try to check Skyrim SE version myself in the next days.

I tried that debug test with DynDOLOD. But it's really hard to tell! I guess it's something else, or another mesh. The first try showed me waterfall meshes, so I searched the DynDOLOD creation log for related entries. I found something that MIGHT be suspiscous - maybe.

I guess that's because Audio Overhaul doesn't conatin any graphic objects, etc. So I should better disable such plugins prior to DynDOLOD creation..? However, I always used DynDOLOD without any issue, with the same load order (but it was even much bigger!). The problem started happeneing after I've upgraded SSE to V 1.5.39, SKSE64 to 2.0.7 and QQ to V 8.2 (from 8. Actually no graphical changes, only some entries in the ESP changed, and some new music files...). My last idea would be that NMM messes something up while mod updating, or something..

 

I really don't know what's going on. 

 

I tried to remove the last few formID entries from the DynDOLOD plugin, but still crashing... And the log now tells something else. SO I think the cause of the crash might not be in there.

I wasn't able to create code field inside the spiler ( at least not with two upfollowing spoiler fields..)

Sorry, cannot edit my prior post anymore. I wanted to add that I'm using Skyrim 3d Trees. And now when I loaded the game without DynDOLOD I noticed that DDL might create the wrong Tree LODs. Because those with 3D Trees are much more matching to the originals... I don't have any other billboards installed, unless DDL might use vanilla ones. I used the TUCO Guide that includes an option for 3D Trees and DynDOLOD

 

 

Edit: And I noticed that the game seems to crash a little bit later without DynDOLOD (it feels like that). This could mean that due to the distance view settings without DDL the related mesh might be loaded a little bit later. So it must be something related to LODs - I guess so.

 

However, I'm out of ideas.. Hope you can find some info in the log or something. Many thanks for your help!!
