Hey all. I discovered since my last post that my Tactical Valtheim install was faulty, so I re-installed it along with the last (15/07/19)  changelog items. That is, pretty much completely re-did the finish line, etc. However, I seem to be having a problem with Tactical Valtheim that did not show up before due to the faulty install. Anyhow, I started a new game, turned on papyrus logging just so see that everything looked "as expected", and in my papyrus logs I have *massive* spam of:

As in hundreds, perhaps thousands of these same lines. I'll head over to the mod comments section on Nexus and see if anyone can help me there, but before I did I wanted to check if anyone else was seeing anything similar. This is version 1.06 of the mod which was converted as instructed with CAO. I'm somewhat concerned, and considering removing the mod, as my last game load just before this post resulted in a random CTD whilst crafting some gear at the whiterun forge (unknown if anything to do with the papyrus spam, but certainly not a good sign).

EDIT: So.. hmmm. It seems I had DL'd the LE version then converted with CAO + re-saved esp in CK. But I see there is actually an SE conversion on the Nexus. Perhaps yet another re-install, this time with the SE version may help!

Thank you Lexy. As a result I went back and very carefully reviewed the guide instructions, and quickly noted that TacVal should be version 1.05, while I had installed 1.06. Correcting this (1.05, LE version, BSA extracted and CAO run) fixed the issue.

 

So the lesson is -- don't just blindly install newer versions of mods since custom patches may depend on a specific version. And, *carefully* review the guide, as the answer is probably right in front of your eyes!

Quick question: I just noticed that I can't forge Orcish equipment at the forge.  I have the perk; is there something that changes the requirements, like with Dwarven and Ebony, so that the perk alone isn't good enough?

 

Edit: Never mind, a quick glance at the files told me what I needed to know.  Guess if you're not an Orc, you have to complete Malacath's quest first.

Edit: Never mind, a quick glance at the files told me what I needed to know.  Guess if you're not an Orc, you have to complete Malacath's quest first.

yeah if you are not an Orc you need to complete The Cursed Tribe quest before you can craft Orcish gear

Hi, just updated and started a new game. All seems to be fine but some NPC's have missing faces or heads. I can just see the teeth. I have not changed my install other then the updates so this shouldn't be happening. Is it likely to be one of the merges that might have caused this perhaps something to do with Interesting NPCs. Has anyone seen this before?

that usually is missing body assets Cuyima Interesting NPCs was updated to the SE version also note the BSA extracted tag and make sure you have the lates NPC Retexture merge CR and have redone Bash Patch, SMASH and zEdit

Something I noticed and I'm not sure what the cause is; third person battle axes and warhammers don't seem to have working animations.  The enemies A-pose and the attack is seemingly instantaneous.  Not sure what the problem is, though.

Ive gotten to the racemenu mod and when I go to SSEEdit and try to edit the record flags to make the racemenu.esp and recemenuplugins.esp ESL's it doesnt give me an option to edit them.

Though it all seemed to be working before I learned that I had failed to install Interesting NPCs correctly and update Cuyiama NPCs and this only became apparent after the update. All sorted now, Skyrim no longer resembles Sleepy Hollow. Thanks for your help.  ::):

The process should be as follows:

 

1) Highlight the mod on the left pane. You should see file records and the like in the right.

2) Locate the Records Flag entry.

3) Right-Click IN THE ENTRY FIELD TO THE RIGHT of the record name, not the record name itself.

4) In the right-click meny, you'll see the edit option.

 

Most of the time, the reason people can't change flags is because they are right-clicking in the wrong place. It needs to be in the actual record's field (IE, the space next to it), and not on the name of the record itself.

What does it mean : Extract the contents of zEdit Patchers into the "modules" subdirectory of zEdit? I dont quite understand that step in the mod "Know your enemy".

In the folder where you installed "Know your enemy" there is a folder called "zEdit Patchers". Inside that folder are two archives that contian the zEdit modules that you need to install for KYE to work. Hope this helps!

Hey guys, I was a huge fan of the LE guide but found the performance a bit patchy and load times were too high on my old HDD.

 

I've upgraded to an SSD and was looking forward to trying the SE version!

 

I have followed the guide slowly and very carefully, and have just finished the relinker part in the finishing line section, I thought I would test it here but the main menu never loads i can see the spinning emblem and the circle going round in the bottom right but it stays like that forever (i left it overnight and it was still there in the morning)

 

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Are there common things that could cause this to happen? I'm hoping its not linked to a single mod as I'm not sure I have the time or energy to test everything/start again!

 

Any help, even general ideas are welcome.

@safere you load order is a little off

 

know_your_armor_patch.esp

know_your_enemy_patch.esp

Lexy's LOTD SE OMEGA - SMASH Override.esp

 

are to high Lexy's LOTD SE OMEGA - SMASH Override.esp should be after SMASH know_your_armor_patch.esp after Lexy's LOTD SE OMEGA - SMASH Override.esp and know_your_enemy_patch.esp after SMASH know_your_armor_patch.esp

 

basically as soon as you create the bash patch you don't need to run LOOT again.

 

your load order Post Pre Bash Merged.esp should be as follows:
