1. System Stats
- Windows 10 64-bit
- AMD Ryzen 7 1700X
- Nvidia GTX 1070
- SSD 128GB
- DDR3 1TB
- 2560x1440 144Hz
2. Knowledge Level
- Obviously, I've installed STEP multiple times
- I use Mod Organizer and Loot as the backbone of any modding I do
- I've done basic work in Creation Kit for personal use
- I mostly just use xEdit for cleaning and general compatibility
3. BSA / Plugin
A BSA is a library of assets that is referenced by a plugin. Plugins (ESP / ESM) are the part that actually changes the game, they are the logic as to what is being changed by the mod (and what's being inserted by a BSA of the same name).
STEP (Core and Extended) is a comprehensive mod "overhaul." It's an overhaul in that most every aspect of the game is in some way modded, but that the goal is to stay lore-friendly and in the spirit of the vanilla game. This is to enhance the Skyrim experience without changing it into something unrecognizable. STEP Packs are smaller, more specific mod-lists targeting a certain system or faction.
5. Beta Testing
I honestly want to beta test for two reasons: I'm incredibly passionate about the modding community (Skyrim and STEP especially), and because I have endless patience for tedious s**t. I will test the crap out of this, and really want it to be amazing.
