SSEEdit and ESL Files

As it currently stands, SSEEdit counts ESL files towards the 255 limit, which it shouldn't, since the game itself doesn't. Does anyone know if this is going to be addressed in SSEEdit at some point or if it's likely to remain the same? Or if there is a setting somewhere I'm missing that deals with this?
