Crash Trouble Shooting

Stuff

Question

Skyrim SE 1.5.62

SKSE 2.0.12 (I'm not using the SKSE DLL method)

DynDOLOD V 2.54 standalone

DynDOLOD Resources 2.45

No errors in DynDOLOD.esp

I've ran the DynDOLOD patcher and it completed successfully.  I'm currently just testing my new game setup by running around the Tamriel world space.  I'm just outside Morthal.  I use a merged file of sevaral of the Great Cities Mods. First thing I'm noticing is that some of the trees upon moving forward pop into existence in this are having no LOD obviously. The main problem is that I get a 100% reproduced crash if I walk forward onto the bridge entering the town.  Disabling the DynDOLOD esp "fixes" the crash.  Deleting the statics records from DynDOLOD.esp "fixes" the crash.  From what I can tell all that DynDOLOD does to statics is path the record flags on/off for LOD.  Is a mesh is being asked to load and crashing?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Looking at all those various instructions, all I was able to find anything on the Docs Read me was the #2 Debug method with missing models in DynDOLOD SSE log.  I had nothing at the bottom of my papyrus log about meshes, nor anything about deleted refs in my DynDOLOD SSE log.

"Building reference info to verify if base records with missing models are used
[00:17:31.022] Missing models were ignored by DynDOLOD.
[00:17:31.047] Below is a list of base records with missing models which are used by references:"

An example from my log>>> BSAssets.esm BSKGKBjungletreenew12v2 [TREE:09600966]

"(1) Verify that all required BSA files are loaded.
[00:17:32.422] MO archive management is incompatible with many 3rd party tools like xEdit and consequently DynDOLOD.exe.
[00:17:32.447] Check this startup log on top, to make sure all required BSA files are loaded via a matching esp filename.
[00:17:32.472]
[00:17:32.492] (2) Install the missing nif and generate LOD again if LOD for this object is desired."

There is no nif for this object in the bsa.

I'm a bit confused.

Those files are just being ignored by DynDOLOD. I see that now in SSEEdit.  I guess I'm clueless here. Am I even looking at the correct logs lol? DynDOLOD_SSE_log is where im looking, as my trouble is in tamriel.

That is the correct log.

Did you find any messages about NiNode?

Was installing .NET Script Framework and checking its crash log any help?

Since you already know that removing STATics has an affect on the problem, simply remove half of records and repeat while keeping the half that still causes the problem until you are down to the last being problematic.

There wasn't anything on NiNode. Nothing in .Net Framewrok crash log either.  I'll start chopping those STATIC records in half.  Thanks for the responses and for DynDOLOD.  Oh, I'll post my results for posterity in the appropriate thread too.
