Regs mod pack missing Dreadflopps Modular patches

sattyre

Question

Hi I have been following the REGS mod pack and downloading all necassary files at least until I got to the part where I needed to download Dreadflopps modular patches.  It sent me to here:

and that page says:  404 that file isn't here anymore.

Thats it end of story.  I have searched for those files elsewhere but with no luck any search directs me back to step and the offending page.  I really liked what i saw in the pack and would like to successfully complete it but don't know if it is possible anymore.

Does anyone know where I could find those files, or know if the mod pack is useable without them.  I am putting it overtop of the 210 step extended pack?

Thanks and have a great day.

The REGS guide hasn't been updated in over a year so it's likely not quite up-to-date with the latest mod releases, so keep this in mind. Kelmych updated the guide for STEP 2.10 last year so you should be fine installing it on top of STEP 2.10 Extended.

If Dreadflopps patches are no longer available on dropbox, I have no idea where you might find them unless some kind soul comes forward with a copy handy. I thought I had a copy stashed away with my mod archives, but I can't find it. I'm guessing I must have deleted it when I reorganized the mods into more appropriate categories last summer. Kelmych updated the guide in December 2017 so I wonder if he might have Dreadflopps modular patches handy. It's been so long since I used REGS (although it is one of my favorites) that I don't even remember what was included in these patches.

There seemed to be only a few things on the REGS guide that needed updating so I haven't been as active with updating it, and I also got involved in other tasks. The main items needing updates (other than checking for mod that aren't available) are Expanded Towns and Cities (needs adding the newest version and changing the patch instructions) and adding Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (CACO) v2. I also want to add Beyond Skyrim - Bruma (and later Morrowind) but I want to make it compatible with CACO v2, which rebalances potions and cooking, and Book Covers Skyrim. I built patches that do this, as well as some additional CACOv2 patches for mods in REGS, but testing the patches has taken a lot more time than I expected. When STEP makes or selects a guide for SSE I also want to provide a REGS version that uses it as a base; unfortunately this means removing some good but older mods that have no SSE versions and looking for newer location mods that do.

I do have have all the mods in the guide including Dreadflopps patches. If we can get permission to rehost these, or if Dreadflopps is willing to allow STEP to manage these patches, we should be able to handle your request.
