I really like this mod, what i don't like is the fact that the dropped torches go dark. Why would a torch immediately burn out because of dropping it?

I found a mod that is based on this mod that is handling it in a much better way and has a MCMSimple Drop Lit Torches
It's up to date (20 January 2016) and should work without Problems.

I can't recall seeing torches immediately go out when using SM's DLT. Though I can see the physics behind them doing so: less air flow to the lit surface.

Nice addition though, who doesn't like MCM menus?

It certainly looks useful. I'll try using it and see how it seems. As GrantSP mentions, MCM menus are usually very helpful

I've had to uninstall this one on most playthroughs.  There are serious issues with the Torch Hotkey power permanently borking if you play around with it in the right (wrong) ways.  It'll get stuck on something like a bow or 2hander and drop one of the torches to the ground every time I try to unequip the weapon, but immediately re-equip same weapon.  Even after I have no more torches in my inventory, it will force me to re-equip the weapon endlessly.  Really annoying when I have to revert to a previous save just so I can equip and unequip items again.

I like the sound of having MCM control, and the custom hotkey setting that this entails.  I'll give the other option a try.
