Hello there,

 

it keeps failing.

 

I have open cities installed but followed a tutorial so I only built everything except DynDOLOD with Open Cities disabled and now I am trying to build DynDoLOD with it enabled.

 

But it keeps failing on:

[00:01:59.879]    Exception in unit userscript line 350: Can not copy ForelhostExterior02 [CELL:0000BD52] (in Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C] at 44,-28) from Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp into DynDOLOD.esm Load order FileID [01] can not be mapped to file FileID for file "DynDOLOD.esm"

I read in some other threads that this might be because of some erros in the Wyre Bash bashed patch. But I did not use WyreBash thus far.

 

So I downloaded WyreBash and created a bashed patch but this changed nothing.

 

I am on Skyrim VR btw

Check log lines above the exception for additional hints. Check the FAQ and search official forum http://forum.step-project.com/forum/101-shesons-dyndolod-support/ for those errors.

 

If problem persists, post error report with entire contents (not just the last couple lines) of ..\DynDOLOD\bugreport.txt and ..\DynDOLOD\logs\DynDOLOD_TES5VR_log.txt to official forum http://forum.step-project.com/forum/101-shesons-dyndolod-support/

 

 

FAQ: DynDOLOD.exe: Can not copy xxxx from xxxx.esp into xxx.esp

 

A: Often caused by a broken bashed patch. Use a newer Wrye Bash version to create the patch or do not use the merge patches option. 

 

A: There is a plugin in the load order with errors. Check the load order for errors with xEdit.exe before generating LOD. Fix all errors. See this video for help. 

 

 

If the error happens without a plugin in the list then it makes no sense to add that plugin for troubleshooting.

 

Start by check the mentioned cell 0000BD52 in xEdit. It may have unresolved links. Remove one by one any plugin that overwrites it.

I had this exact same error today, same unit userscript line, same cell, also SkyrimVR, also Open Cities. After a LENGTHY process of elimination, I can state with COMPLETE confidence that this error is not related to the bashed patch or to any mods with errors reported in xEdit. It's definitely a problem with Open Cities/DynDOLOD/SkyrimVR. I did follow the instructions in the manual for dividing the generation of static and dynamic LODs. If I change nothing else except removing Open Cities, I can successfully generate LODs again. My bug report is below. I hope this information is helpful.

You have only posted the bug report, but not the DynDOLOD log.

 

Does it run through with Open Cities, but without the Bashed Patch? If that is the case delete the bashed patch and generate it with this version https://github.com/Wrye-Code-Collection/wrye-bash/releases

 

If I generate LOD only with the current version of Open Cities, there are no errors. Which is not surprising, since Open Cities does not change the mentioned CELL record.

 

This could be a problem of using a version of the Unofficial Patch that was not made for the master files currently shipping with Skyrim VR.

 

Troubleshooting does not end with finding a possible plugin being the culprit. Now troubleshoot the mentioned records in the plugins that are left after every other plugin was removed.
