Problems with Become King of Riverhelm

Pole

Question

I have Skyrim Revisited working quite well on my system.  I have recently been looking at some mods to add in, and i have done so with great success.  I tried to add in LC Become King of Riverhelm today, and I am getting a CTD when running through the initial wagon ride on the stock game start.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clear up any conflict this mod would have.  I would really like to use it, and I realize this mod is quite large and potentially has many conflicts, but I would like to give it a shot.  I was just wondering if anyone else had run into this.

Thanks,

Pole

Mod that are outside the guide you need to check though with Tes5edit yourself.

But try to disable the gameplay altering mods from SR and then run again... most likely it is one of those conflicting. All the various texture mods etc should not conflict.

My instinct is that Alternate Start might be having an effect here - from what little I know of that mod.

You might consider seeing if you get CTDs just using Vanilla plus Riverhelm mod.  If you do then it is probably the underlying mod and not how it interacts with others that's causing the issue.  If not you can try adding in mods in batches (using MO) to isolate the ones causing issues.

Yea I actually am not using the Alternate Start mod. I still have a soft spot for the original opening of the game. I found quite a few mistakes I had made in my setup last night. I am adding in mods in batches of 5 trying to get a bunch of content mods installed. Sadly I feel like most content mods don't play well with each other and tend to have a bunch of conflicts.

This is just one of those mods I had always wanted to try out. I am trying to strip back a bunch of the mods I added into the regular Revisited package to see if I can get it to work. I am starting to think I might be better off starting a play-through and adding in the content after a few hours of play. I don't know why, but I seem to have better luck that way. I have had luck in the past waiting until I am out of the intro to add in content mods.

In general do not add content mods after you start a game... save games do not like it when you suddenly just start to add and remove new scripts.

Decide on a setup and play the game! You can make individual profiles for each type of content you want in MO for easy transition between them.

As for the lack of BOSS list... first check the mod page and see what the mod author suggest if anything. Otherwise look at the compatibility section if it has any and see if there are any notes about the mod must be loaded after something else!

If no info is present, then see what type of mod you are dealing with and try to find another mod that is similar.. once you have the name you can search in BUM for it then you can place it after that.

If that fails then first try to place it early in the load order .. if that produce CTD etc. then place it late in the order and try again.

That's the impression I was under Aiyen. I will continue to toy with things. I was able to revert to just a SR load with Become King loaded in, and I was able to get into the game just fine. There has to be a conflict with another mod I tried to load in with it.

Sadly my overclock failed 2 days ago in the midst of me trying to get everything loaded back in, and I lost everything on my SR mod organizer profile. I am currently waiting for a large batch of new computer parts, so once I have everything into the new case, I will be back at trying to get things working.

I appreciate the advice. Hopefully once I have this beast water cooled I will be able to complete things and actually get to play further than the intro.
