Alright so I think I have all of my freeze's taken care of, now I just need to get FPS up so it's more playable. Currently with an ENB (doesn't really matter which) I drop to ~18-23 FPS with a max of 25 (32 if I'm lucky and disabled DOF).

I'm using the Skyrim Revisited recommended ENB (Realvision) at the moment with DOF off but it seems lacking for my tastes. I don't care terribly much if I have DOF on or not (if it's on it needs to be fast) and any DOF probably needs to be pretty light on resources/frame rate.

Ideas?
Also I know Skyrim.ini says it's missing something but I can't find the Warning file to see what.

Inside the ENB thread we already cover several performance and other similar issues. You should be able to find everything you need in there.
If you are just lazy then on my ENB preset´s descriptions page I cover the main parameters for performance... which are universal to every preset.
That should help you tweak away until you have an FPS that is suitable.

Good to hear you that you got ride of some of your freezes,

I had this dilemna about ENB not so long ago because I didn't want to loose my 50-60 FPS.
I ended up using the one on Iroha guide. (at the bottom of his thread)

But I removed all the "fluff" from the enbseries.ini to maximize performance.
Check it out here if you want.

I simply disabled SSAO, BLOOM and DOF...
And quite frankly the performance gain is huge from disableing those versus the esthetic gain in enableing them.

I get 50-60 FPS average with a 7950 oced at 1100mhz.

Alright hi thanks for the responses as I said I've been trying things out and will look at that thread you suggested FC. I'll also look at your ENB and settings Aiyen it looks nice from the screenshots. I forgot to check the ENB guide's thread or that it had one (slipped my mind). I still cannot figure out what this warning in the ini file is telling me
@Aiyen I would also like to know where in the Skyrim Revisited load order I should place the "required mods" for your enb preset

My preset will get an update soon... I am currently in the process of fine tuning it, changing stuff that one can only see by actually playing the game. As for the "required mods" ... they are not strictly required it is just the lighting and environment mods that I have used. For example you can use vanilla water but then the settings will make the water reflections look all wrong etc. As for load order then for all but one I just use the standard BOSS load order. The one where I do not is my heavily edited Relighting Skyrim, which BOSS place before the unofficial patches. I place them after Sounds of Skyrim and RLO in order to make sure that the changes I have made there are actually used. If you want to do something like that you can throw me a PM and I will offer what assistance with Tes5edit that I can. The Skyrim particle patch just needs to be put late in your mod list so that its meshes overwrites any others. Except for the fire related ones which the fire effects mod includes now. As for the .ini warning, then it is part of the vanilla game. From what I gather then it is only relevant if you are only using the built in mod manager via. the games setup screen.

Interesting, I will put the particle patch just below the fire mods in my mod order then. It also seems Dual Sheath Redux overwrites the Dawnbreaker mesh. I assume I will need to let it do so?

I do not know if Neovalen have implemented the fix into his mesh or not. If not then that sword will look ... really bright ;)

Hmm... I noticed some things with the ENB on I don't know if they are texture seams or what. The one with the stairwell I noticed before but it didn't show up nearly as badly without the ENB.
It's the odd random fire effect in the top left. (it's from before alduin's fire breath and doesn't go away after either)

If you look at the columns by my cursor that is the seam or whatever it is I mean

Anyone mind trying the Helgen intro to see if you have the same issues with your ENB? I'm currently using Opethfeldt's ENB

There should not be any fire up there until after the breath... and that fire will stay for a long time due to one of the mods in SR... forgot which. As for it shining through objects, then normally that would be because you failed to setup your ini file for ENB. If it is not then the following two would be worth checking out. Make sure you are using the correct driver version if you are using an Nvidia card. Also make sure all hardware AA etc. is disabled or you will get stuff like this happening depending on driver and ENB version. Also in general the seam you are seeing looks like some sort of shadow issue. In general it looks like you do not even have SSAO enabled. If you have it enabled then one of the two option above is most likely the cause. If you do not then it is quite interesting, and perhaps even a bug. Would need more info in that case in order to help.

Well I posted my ini files in the first post and apart from the resolution of the shadowmaps which I reduced to 1024 and 512 the only thing I did not have set right was bdrawlandshadows but the fire in the stairwell was occurring before I even had the ENB on. Hardware AA is disabled through Nvidia Inspector as per Neo's instruction, I'm using Nvidia Stable driver version 314.22.

Here are my SSAO settings which I edited after looking at your mod page; after looking through the guide's forum page.

I'll do the pictures of ENB On/ENB Off of the fire in a little bit as it will require me to sit through part of the intro again.

besides SSAO such thing can be done by too low value of curve and/or desaturation of lightsource

How so? I'm not sure which settings you are talking about. But as you can see it is happening both with and without the ENB. And also which of the problems are you speaking of the weird fire thing or the "seam" I think I've sort of fixed the fire thing it is still there before Alduin breathes fire but disappears after. So this is partially fixed

Since the issue is also preset without ENB on then it has to do with either a texture, or a mod. See if the issues are also present with vanilla.. if they are not then it is a mod. The fire one would then be due to either the fire mod, or the fire effect mod. Try to disable either of those and see if the issue persists. The seam might be related to a texture issue. If it goes away in vanilla then it properly is.

The fire does not seem to be from a mod at all while I was playing vanilla (with the unofficial patches and my optimized HRDLC but nothing else) I still saw it with and without ENB.
I'll look for the seam in a few.

Guessing the seam is also vanilla. Helgen is horrible for seams.
