cleaning for "Live Another Life"

I've been cleaning mods per the instructions in the SR and SR:LE guides (with SR:LE taking precedence) and I have a question about cleaning the "Alternate Start - Live Another Life" mod.  The cleaning directions in the SR guide (https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited) were perfect except for the first section below about forwarding the changes from the various DLCs:

Open TES5Edit.

Select all Bethesda ESMs and Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp then click [OK].

Expand "Dialog Topic">"00038731" and select the "0006541A" node.

Right-click on the "Conditions" line of Alternate Start - Life Another Life.esp and select "Add" twice.

Drag the two conditions from Hearthfires.esm to the two newly created slots in Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp so it contains all 4 conditions.

(Note: There are more conflicts here but they are resolved by Arthmoors script.)

Right-click Alternate Start - Life Another Life.esp in the left pane and select "Sort Masters".

Click the [X] in the upper right hand corner, uncheck "Backup plugins", and click [OK].

Are the directions above still valid?  What I saw on the screen didn't seem to line up exactly with those directions, so I skipped this part of the cleaning.  The rest of the cleaning for Alternate Start went smoothly.  I'm wondering if things changed in the past few months.

LAL was updated recently a few times, so Arthmoor might have fixed that in one of the new versions.
