Discussion thread:
Smithing Perks Overhaul - Remade and Updated by kryptopyr
Wiki Link

The purpose of this mod is to allow all weapons & armor in Skyrim to be improved further based on one perk or another.

This mod is basically a remake of Headbomb's Smithing Perks Overhaul. I've long been a fan of Headbomb's mods, but unfortunately they've become so out-dated that I felt I could no longer use them in my game. So I took the same basic idea and created my own mod to accomplish the same thing. I've also updated it for compatibility with the 1.9 patch and the Dawnguard DLC.

This mod is fantastic IMO. Also, I think it might be necessary for bug-free use of Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade according to the following statement on the CCOR page:

This mod was designed to work with Weapons & Armor Fixes Remade, Clothing & Clutter Fixes, and Smithing Perks Overhaul Remade. While not technically required, certain aspects of this mod may not function correctly without them.

Yeah, this mod is pretty awesome. I use the New Perk Tree #2. Should even be in Core for all the "bug" fixes!

I use the CCO version of the Perk Tree (along with WAFR/CCF & CCOR) with SPERG (& applicable patches) and other versions prior to that in other mod builds.

Supreme modding versatility and changes/improvements that make "sense".

I use the Kryptopyr mod suite; Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul, Smithing Perks Overhaul and Stealth Skills Rebalanced. I definitely recommend SPO in any Skyrim profile, the lore version more appropriate for STEP although I prefer the new version myself. The lore version or original perk tree makes sensible corrections and as such seems worthy of STEP inclusion, I notice SSR is currently in testing.

I have been using this for a long time with the new perk version. It works well and I haven't had any problems.

Somehow this one flew right under my radar undetected so going to download and install this in my next testing setup.

I had it installed before, but missed it during this last round. I've gone for the modified vanilla version because it made the most since to me as a replacement rather than an overhaul.
