Wrye Bash TES5Edit Tips Needed

I've just started using Wrye bash patch and can see in TES5Edit there are a lot of changes I need to make so that IP soldiers don't carry 3 swords and 2 bows, Thalmor don't have 2 sets of armor, wolves stop dropping loot, spell books with vendors, etc.


I'm ok to edit the bashed patch, but it is my understanding that every time I update my load order I need to rebuild the patch which would negate all the tweaking I need to do.


Is there a simple work around I can use instead? What am I missing? Can I relev or delev certain items in other mods? Should I uncheck automatic when building the patch to get things to work together better?
