Shadriss Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 From the new guide, relating to the Serious HD Retexture Skyrim Mod in section 2.F : "Install the Serious HD Retexture RIFTEN 1024px main file and the Serious HD Retexture RIFTEN 1024px optional file." Uhm... The file you list is ONLY an optional. Perhaps a different file was intended to be listed for the first half? Given that LANDSCAPES is the only one, I would assume that, but I'd rather check and be certain.
EssArrBee Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 My bad, I meant to put the name of the main file and put the optional twice.
Shadriss Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Figured as much, and installed as such. Thanks for the quick reply. On a slightly seperate matter, and one I know has been debated in other threads (with much gnashing of teeth and clashing of wills on both sides), but I'm looking for an official-ish answer: MO reports mods out of order even with the 2.2.9 setup. I know you were trying to eliminate that or whatnot, but since it's there... *ahem* To reorder, or not to reorder. That is the question.
EssArrBee Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Leave the MO order thing out of it. We have evaluated the entire list of Core or Core and Extended mods and the order in the guide is fine. We are still working on whether the mod order problem that MO presents is something we should address. It is still in beta so as it develops we will heed its advice more astutely.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Do we only have to create a LOOT meta rule if using one of the three patch files? If not, we can ignore this? It seems a bit unclear to me. I apologize if this is obvious to others. I thought maybe others had confusion to. For example, are you saying we need to set a LOOT meta rule of 989000 ONLY if we are using the extended patch?

whocares7 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Hi guys, I'm a bit confused about the AMidianBorn Book of Silence instructions : Quote Dragonborn DLCNordic Carved ArmorBlack FurAlso download and install the Bonemold hotfix. As you can see, there is no Bonemold Armor mentioned bellow as install option. It's also unclear about the other packages - 'choose Custom install option and install ALL options as follows (where there is more than one option besides 'None'):'.If the option is not mentioned in the instructions, I should leave it to 'None' then ?
EssArrBee Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 If there are only two options, the armor and none, hen choose the armor. Otherwise, choose the option we list.
BUBISHI Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Maybe there should be an guide entry for SKSE -Elys- AltF4 as it creates a log file in Overwrites that must be moved to the actuall mod.Rookies like my would not ask if they knew it from the beginning.
DoubleYou Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I do mention it in the MO guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#tab=Overwrite, but it probably could use better documentation.
deadbody Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I noticed some missing image captions in the STEP Core- and Combined Plugin Patch Changelogs, here and here. In the Extended Patch Changelog they are present.
AedanValu Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 In the SKSE install descriptions, https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender#Recommendations, it says, under point 3, "Open the skse folder"...However, there is no skse folder in that mod when created in the way described in the rows above, so to avoid confusion, it should probably say "Create a folder named SKSE" or something similar.
BUBISHI Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Check if there is a SKSE folder in your Skyrim directory, I belive in the last STEP version it was ment to be created there and if you update...
