First off, a big thank you for S.T.E.P. :)

As mentioned in another thread, I thought it was a bit inconvenient how I had to keep going back to "Detailed instructions available" during some steps to checkon things like LOOT Meta rules I should use for my final LOOT run, and what MCM settings are recommended after I actually start up Skyrim. So since I can't edit the Wiki at the moment, I've compiled a list here:

v2.2.9 Mods containing LOOT Meta Rules

* Weapons and Armor Fixes - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Skyfalls and Skymills - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* aMidianBorn Book of Silence - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Realistic Water Two - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Audio Overhaul for Skyrim - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* S.T.E.P. Patches - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

Note: These are also currently mentioned at the top of https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations except for the S.T.E.P. Patches.

v.2.2.9 Mods containing MCM Settings Recommendations

* Lanterns of Skyrim - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Lightning during Thunder Storms - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Auto Unequip Arrows - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Dual Wield Parrying - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

* Lock Overhaul - https://wiki.step-pr...Recommendations

LOOT Meta Rules https://wiki.step-project.com/LOOT/Meta_Rule_Instructions

I am trying to create LOOT Meta Rules for this mod. https://wiki.step-project.com/Weapons_and_Armor_Fixes#Recommendations - "Weapons & Armor Fixes_Remade.esp is moved to the "Load After" window."

Did I do this right?

3> Select the plugin requiring lower loading order (Weapons & Armor_TrueOrcish&DaedricWeapons.esp)

4> Tick "Show only conflicting plugins" box.

5> Drag and drop the conflicting plugin (Weapons & Armor Fixes_Remade.esp) into the Load After window

When I do this, and tick "show only conflicting plugins", the plugins listed in the step guide are not present.  In fact only the actual esp that is being evaluated is shown.  I have been adding the esps manually but I'm not sure that will actually work.  Is there something I'm doing wrong to not get the esp that is supposed to get dragged into the load after window to show up?

Edit:  Ah... I think I figured it out... I was going to "Edit Metadata" instead of "Sort Plugins" first.  Does that sound like the cause of my problem?

Yep, you need to first go to "Sort" or else LOOT won't be able to scan all your plugins for potential conflicts. In fact, you can only add rules for one plugin at a time, so you'll be sorting, adding rules for a plugin, then sorting again (by hitting "Apply"), then adding more rules, etc.

Cheers mate, awesome info.  Was getting frustrated following the step guide, telling me to create meta rules for mods not even installed yet, now I can do a full install and go back to the mods that need editing after, without having to search every "detailed instruction available".  This info should definitely be made more readily available ie: from the main STEP page, not just through the Bashed Patch detail page or a forum search (perhaps a mention in the 2.A LOOT Sorting section) as I'm sure many have experienced similar disgruntlement.

Thanks again, I'm now one happy Spasmodean

We're aware of the lack of MCM recommendations. You can discuss them here: https://forum.step-p...d-mcm-settings/
