Interpreting Papyrus Logs

Well now that Dawnguard is out I went ahead and did a clean install of it (was getting major crashes with my current load order). Vanilla Skyrim 1.7 Install + Dawnguard gave me the following Papyrus logs. (No SKSE, No Nothing)

Hey I just got a instant CTD if trying to give some Iron arrows to uthgerd, but not if i give her all of them, only some. i only run 1.7.7 USKP 1.1, HighResDLC and BethHROpt, nothing else. Crash only happens outside of whiterun gate.

well as you can see in the second log, there is no error or anything reported by papyrus. the game just crashes instantly to desktop. well, at least the logging feature doesn't mention the problem. i'm not sure whether this is a vanilla or USKP problem but it kinda gets on my nerves. i lost 45 minutes of gaming (selling and upgrading and buying etc.) because of this stupid bug.

Scripts errors are less likely to cause a ctd than they are to break your game or savegame. Plenty of other stuff that is very likely to cause ctd's though like bad meshes, UDR's, broken Navmesh, etc.

 

As for iron arrows, they have been a vanilla problem since Skyrim version 1.0 and have been fixed and rebroken multiple times with patches but I have never had or heard of a ctd related to them.

Well now that Dawnguard is out I went ahead and did a clean install of it (was getting major crashes with my current load order). Vanilla Skyrim 1.7 Install + Dawnguard gave me the following Papyrus logs. (No SKSE, No Nothing)

anyone know what this RNPC_MentalModel.0.log thing is? it apparently popped up w/ my papyrus logs on 5/27/13

anyone? what is the mental model folder? i get this in the logs before a crash...
