ENBoost startup crash

RevanTheExile

Question

Hello!

I got an issue with ENBoost from https://enbdev.com/ - every time i try to start skyrim it crashes as it tries to start the skyrim application, it never really get to enter the game menu. (Not my picture but this is what it shows: https://imgur.com/E6tUJl5

i've followed the skyrim S.T.E.P. guide (to the letter!) when i installed my mods and then some from the G.E.M.S. list.

I use SKSE through Mod Organizer and run everything as administrator.

The most frustrating thing here is that the game runs everything i've installed when the ENBoost files (from the S.T.E.P. guide) aren't in the skyrim folder.

The reason to why i want to try the ENBoost is beacuse i've seen in my VMMap that im using almost all my memory and have some lag when i move too fast ingame, so i was hoping to free some of that up (as according to this Gopher guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9WLTY9R_5Y#t=203)

(idk how to post my specs but here is a try)https://wiki.step-project.com/User:RevanTheExile/SystemSpecs

Your link to what it shows does not work.

however in general if ENB flat out refuses to start up then you have either some security settings (this includes Anti virus) that prevents the .dll from working, or a driver issue which showhow is messing something up. The final alternative is that you have some other 3rd party app that is already hooked into the game which will prevent it from working. This includes various monitor software, as well as overclocking software. So make sure to also disable any of those.

But since you are using Nvidia then there should not be any driver related issues to startup at this time... I ofc. assume that you are trying the 262 version of ENB.

The link is now fixed.

I disabled my Avast and tried to run but the same happened, i've got no idea what else could possibly block it.I've got the newest driver from Nvidia and i'm not overclocking. And i am using the newest version of ENB.

If there is not monitor program from the S.T.E.P. guide i am pretty much blank.

Is there a trick to see what might block ENBoost from launching?

Thanks for the fast response :)
