Problem with MO

Hello guys!

 

I have a strange issue:

 

I can't start F:NV through Mod Organizer. Everytime I try to to start the game it just crashes. I tried to start it with NVSE, 4GB Loader and the normal New Vegas. When I am not using Mod Organzier the game starts just fine.

 

(I am using the english version of F:NV)

 

 

I am not far advanced in the guide, I just cleaned the Bethesda ESMs.

Try starting the game with the 4gb loader from the executable drop down next to the play button.

As I already wrote: it crashes with every executable from the drop down menu, but without MO not.

that doesn't immediately point to MO. There are some things that MO does different

 

MO has its on inis

MO has Mods

 

If its loaded just a tad before crashing then theres probably something wrong with the fonts/UI

I would say remove the MO specific inis and see if it starts.... If so you narrowed your problem list down

Then redo the ini suggestions on the page

try it again...

Yeah, I didn't think of that, the DarnUI tweak is before the cleaning of the DLC. That would mess stuff up.

I literally spent 4 hours on that one specific issue...

I had the new DarnUI fonts in the ini before installing it... I couldn't for the life of me figure it out...

I did the same with Oblivion but it only took about 3 min that time... 

The game does this weird Loading thing were it load for about 10% then crashes...

 

Helped me fix various UI issues

 

Maybe it would be logical to move those ini tweaks just under DarnUI

Would probably be just as easy to move any ini tweaks that are required for certain mods to that specific mod's instructions. Have a general "Do these ini tweaks now" section at the start for the general performance tweaks and then as you go through the guide, do mod specific ones like the Darn UI fonts.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Darn UI tweak at one stage done when you installed the mod? Thought it was in one of the early guide versions.
