Werewolf Mods

Recommended Posts

I've found this mod, Tales of Lycanthropy, which seems to make Lycanthropy more realistic (i.e. forced transform in moonlight, etc.) but doesn't really give any bonuses just negatives.

The optional werewolf skins are amazing, especially "The Howling".

ToL - Core (Released)

Completely independent from Bethesda scripts - very high compatibility.

Standalone and can function fully without the rest of the modules.

[ ] Configuration ring that automatically gets added to your character.

  • Select the chances for the lunar transformation feature. 5 settings available.
  • Select the animation of your choice for Lunar based transformations. 4 settings available.
  • Select the Howl which you would like to use during your next transformation. The 3 original choices from Bethesda.
  • Option to immediately infect your character with lycanthropy.
  • Option to immediately cure your character from lycanthropy.
[ ] Sanies Lupinus disease for all werewolves NPCs in Skyrim.

  • Any transformed NPC will be able to spread the disease to the player from now on. This includes werewolves added by custom mods such as Monster Mod (already tested and working).
  • The disease (once developped) will be equal to gaining beasthood from the Companions. You get the Beast Form ability, disease immunity and the rest.
[ ] Forceful transformation at 8 pm based on the cycles of the moon. The 5 possible settings are:

  • Transform every night.
  • High random chance + full moons. 0/5/25/50/100
  • Low random chance + full moons. 0/1/10/15/100 (Default setting.)
  • Only on full moons. 0/0/0/0/100
  • Lunar transformations disabled.
Moon phases are reported to the player at 6 pm. If the screen flashes at this moment then the player will shift into a beast on that night (designed to work as a warning). When your transformation is triggered by the moon it will always last till 5 am in the morning.

[ ] New animation sequence complete with sound effects for the more stressful lunar transformations. The 4 possible settings are:

  • Random delay + heartbeat + new transformation animations + horror screams.
  • Random delay + heartbeat + new transformation animations. (Default setting.)
  • Random delay + heartbeat + vanilla transformation style.
  • Vanilla transformation style.
Another mod that goes well with this appears to be Realistic Werewolves (just the sound files).

I'm still looking for other good mods... any ideas?

Sorry! I've been waiting to see people respond as you have. I haven't ever really done a werewolf run' date=' but if someone did something interesting with them I'd love to give 'em a whirl.[/quote']

I haven't either and with Dawnguard they got a bit of new life.... so wanted to perhaps try em out. So far I've also found Werewolf Perks Expanded - Dawnguard.

I just honestly don't have any play experience with Werewolves but from what I've read they have little upside and a higher downside at higher levels... some of these mods aim to change that or bring a more realistic experience.

Scary Vampire Lord and Werewolf appears to help solve the problem of transforming in combat by instilling a temporary fear effect in all nearby enemies.

You have already found the best stuff available' date=' I'm waiting for a more fleshed out companions questline myself before I play a werewolf again, vanilla was extremely disappointing.[/quote']

I've heard that though I haven't actually run that quest line yet. (Too Busy Modding!)

I updated my Personal Mods page to reflect my selections for werewolf/vampire mods if anyone cares to look, they appear to work nicely together though I only tested using the ring from ToL that makes you a werewolf instantly.

I concur, Companions and the College quest lines were way too short.  It feels like they had to cut out several main quests from Companions: (SPOLIER) for some reason you become part of The Circle -- along with the guild leaders -- like three quests into it.  The College's quest is very interesting, but again it feels cut short, especially given the introduction of the Psijic Order, they could have done a lot more there.  I wonder if they did this on purpose to make way for more DLC in the future, but that might be my distrust of EA's development strategy speaking.

That's why it feels so weird to get all this free DLC for Mass Effect 3. It's like Bioware is trying to distance itself from EA. But then again, EA was loosing about a billion dollars a year just 3 years ago.

I would love to see a nice expansion to the Companions questline, it was short for game with so much content they could have focused a little more on it and sacrificed a few side quests.

When I heard Dawnguard was Werewolves vs. Vampires I figured they were doing something with the Companions, or at least using it as a jumping off point.  I'm a little disappointed in Skyrim's focus on the Radiant quests; sure they're fun and it adds extra incentive to go dungeon-diving, but one of the major draws of the game (at least for me) are the numerous fleshed out side quests and all the encounters with some actual story behind it.  They add a ton of life to the game and it makes it seem like stuff's actually going on outside of the PC's cell, at least until you arrive to save/ruin the day.

Since you guys talked about the companions questline, figured I'd point this one out to you: Enhanced Skyrim Factions - The Companions Guild

Nice find, make a thread for that.  Looks like it will really make a better experience assuming the author finishes it and/or doesn't go off the rails with feature bloat
