Game starts but no main menu

I recently been following this guide after a recommendation from someone on Nexus forums, as when I used NMM it messed up my game to either crash randomly or make me have to reinstall UI mods as they collided with each other.

 

I am having a problem where the game will start up and go through the intro splash screens but as soon as I get to the Main Menu nothing comes up other than the background. No New Game, Settings, Credits etc. My mouse cursor doesn't appear also. I can't even quit the game without starting task manager then switching users and logging back in as my mouse would be stuck in New Vegas.

 

I thought it was because of the UI mods so I started all over again and tried it before I installed any UI mods but it still happened. Did I miss something? A vital step? Or is one of the mods broken?

Sorry for using this thread but it seems that I have a similar problem.

 

I followed the guide until the test after the UIO installation but evertime i tried it I got a freeze at main menu.

I deactivated all UI mods and but nothing happend. Then I deactivated everthing except the Fixes and redid the Merged Fix.

That solved the problem with the freezes in the main menu, but the fonts are not visible, only the boxes around if go over it with the cursor.

I made all ini_Tweaks, also the Darnified UI Font Tweak and also deactivated the Fixes but nothing changed.

Could the problem be that I'm using the german version?

 

Maybe someone can help me :)

The German version was different due to the censoring of gore that went on with the game at the time of release. You might try checking mod pages on the nexus and the DarnUI threads on the Bethesda forums about compatibility.

I'm using the Ultimate Edition (with all DLCs) and it is uncut as far as i know.

I only activated NVAC and the Stutter Remover and removed the Darnified UI Font Tweak and nothing changed :O_o:

also tried it with the Darnified UI Font Tweak but yeah nothing changed.

 

Maybe complete reinstalltion?

Are you changing the INIs thought MO? If so, then look at the vanilla INIs and make sure they aren't read only. That's the only that might not let the tweaks work.

The fallout.ini was read only but i changed it but it didn't help. I also deleted the old INIs and startet the launcher again but the problem remain.

And yes I chang the INIs through MO.

Check merged plugins. Untick them and see if the menu comes up. The merge script can mess up sometimes.

It seems I messed up with the INI-tweaks and overwrite the [Fonts] section and don't only add the new stuff
