Skyrim Options ( when running in steam ) keeps reverting back.

My goal here is to change the Graphic options of Skyrim's  shadow to medium (running via steam) and tweak Skyrimprefs.ini's shadow items. ( inside Mod Organizers .ini )

 

iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096

iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096

iShadowMapResolution=4096

 

to fix the blocky shadows in Skyrim

 

 

the problem is, every time I change it to Medium. It reverts back to Ultra.

what should I do to keep it on medium?

 

 

 

I really really appreciate the work you guys have been doing! you changed my view on Moding stuffs. and appreciate the guide it put me at ease to find a "Default" -ish patch to improve skyrim! :)

Are you editing the .ini's from within Mod Organizer?

Yes, and i've also edited the .ini file outside MO.

MO uses it's own ini files, if you edit them outside of MO they have no effect.

simoi have you tried deleting the contents of your ini files in MO and then running the Skyrim Launcher from MO and setting things tot he medium preset?

Keep in mind if you do run the Launcher from within MO you may need to remove the d3d9.dll, and possibly the d3d9_smaa.dll, from the Skyrim folder if you have an ENB installed. Failing to do so may result in an exception failure when Skyrim attempts to auto configure your settings.
