Announcing the Player Home PACK. This pack will be a collection of lore-friendly cabins, cozy homes, and small mansions for the player, with several able to house the player's spouse and children.

Keep in mind this is currently WIP with a few more to be tested & added. If you see a discrepancy or have a suggestion, feel free to let me know.

Update 30/4/2015

Major pack updates are on temporary hiatus until I am no longer working 3 jobs and 60-80 hour weeks.

Great idea. I'm thinking about addding a player home to my playthrough so this pack comes right in time. :)

Since most players probably won't add all homes, a little more information on what to expect might be good? I'm aware it's a WIP, just a suggestion that you might already be planning on adding. I'd also like information on the storage chests and if they are scripted (like riverside lodge) as well as if the home is free or costs gold. Compatibility with REGS/Lighting mods would also be great. I have been looking at the following homes:

* Millwater retreat (ETaC patch in ETaC installer)

* Riverside Lodge (I think it conflicts with ETaC. The only one I've tested, was great except the enchanting table didn't work, possible conflict, didn't check.)

* Breezehome fully upgraded (compatible with REGS source: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/1209-skyrim-revisited-pre-release-feedback/page-347?do=findComment&comment=121248 )

* Rayeks End - Mini Hideout

and the two not lore-friendly mods I just saw on the nexus:

* Island Hobbit Home - Revisited by Kursan

* Nakahara - Akaviri House by Elianora

Just when I was thinking of adding a player homes part to REGS ::P:
Oh well, guess I'll stick with quest mods and help with the compatibility if you want me to.

EDIT: Some suggestions (that are compatible with REGS)
- Breezehome FullyUpgradable (compatible with Whiterun mods if it's loaded before them)

- Build Your Own Home: What I suspect to be the mod that gave Bethesda the hearthfires idea, what with them prefixing the game files for that DLC with BYOH.

- The TNF player homes: Makes the vanilla homes more interesting.

- Hassildor: A player home near the Volkihar castle.

Great idea for a pack!  But I agree with dreadflopp: many people are probably going to use your list to select one or two homes rather than install them all.

There use to be a great site called Oblivion Real Estate, which featured many of the best player homes from Oblivion and divided them by size the way you've done.  I think it might have also have had a category for character-specific homes: those most appropriate for a mage, a thief, etc.

While not essential, a short list of the stats and primary features of each house would be a wonderful touch.  Things like number of bedrooms, which crafting stations are available, the amount of storage containers, display cases, and mannequins, etc.  And any unique features, like special displays or animations, or scripted storage.

I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this.  Good luck!

I'm looking into Riverside Lodge conflict right now, though I use both and haven't noticed it. I've also had no issues with the enchanting table, it most likely was a conflict with your build.

Edit: I've been talking to Hishutup, and he said there was one single cell location record that conflicts with ETaC. Nothing to worry about. And your enchanting table may have been from an older version of the mod.

Hunters Cabin of Riverwood is a good one that is compatible with ETaC, it fits right in.

This one was one of the first I added, but thanks for the suggestion!

If you really want to put me out of a job, I don't mind thaaaat much.... ::(:

I will take you up on the compatibility offer once I get a few more in the list. I don't use REGS and my free time is dropping off pretty damned fast right now, so I won't have a chance to get that together.

I don't expect people to install all of them. Hell, I don't have most of them active in my main playthrough, too many .esps. This is more or less just a window gallery for people to look through.

I have a few themed houses on the testing list right now. I'll also be adding more detailed descriptions as I go on.

If I could make a couple of suggestions, I tried messing around with All Homes Remodeled, and I think it (or something like it) would be a good candidate; I appreciate having each of the default houses with the DLC additions.

General Stores/General Displays make it much easier to store and display your items between homes.  As with All Homes Remodeled, I didn't spend much time working with these mods when I tried them, but I would really like to figure out how they work.  It seems like it would be a great framework for a unified houses setup.

Windstad Mine adds a sizable mining complex that the player can build up.  It has a slight conflict with REGS (the cart you must search to start the quest clips with a small fence for Apple Garden).  Heljarchen Farm is very similar.  The final buildable settlement I would like to suggest is Tel Nalta II; it conflicts with Moon and Star and Undeath, but it is just fantastic.

EDIT: Okay, just one more.  The Field Lab is amazing.  It only adds/alters one tree far outside of Riften.  You can summon it in any worldspace, then float up and go inside.  It's got a funny little quest attached concerning mistaken identities, though I think it shouldn't begin until after you are the Dragonborn.
