So I know without pictures you're pretty much guessing what I am talking about so I will try to explain as best as I can the problem that I am having. Plus I am at work and can't supply you with pictures.

Anyways, I have been following EssArrBee's mod guide "Fear and Loathing in FNV" and it has been going well so far. I am following all the directions to the 'T' (I think) and the game is becoming heavily modded fast.

So my problem is solely this and its not even really a "problem" its more of an annoyance and it makes me think something is off. When I am in MO and go to the executables and start the 4GBFNV button, the game begins but all I get for about 15-20 secs is a black square in the top left of my screen, like the game is about to start and it just stays there. After about 20 secs or so, then box enlarges and takes of my entire screen and starts the game up. Though the game sort of lags along and sort of stutters the beginning screen where I pick my load and such. It wasn't do this before but I have a few suspicions as to why its doing this.

First being the texture mods. I want to say those might be bogging down my system. Even though I have a beastly system and the game is installed on my SSD, I feel like its taking so long to load the textures but I could be wrong. Also, I only installed the Medium versions of the NMC texture mods. I also installed the ojo's (sp?) texture pack too. Basically, I have installed everything up until the end of the texture bit on the mod guide. Everything is loaded into MO like the guide suggests so I am a bit confused as to why its doing this.

I figured I would disable all the mods, like you can do in MO, and run the game that way, but again the game hangs like it did when I had all mods enabled. I don't understand whats going on. The only changes to my actual root FNV folder is the installation of ENB boost plus the MO folder and the other small injection mods needed to mod the game.

I will post this onto the forum for the guide but I honestly have no clue what is going on. Prior to downloading the texture packs and everything, I stopped at the mod for the Bison Hotel or whatever its called and the game started up almost immediately so something is causing this, I just don't know what yet.

Please help if you can.

It can do that on initial start-up. Often takes a while to start the first time.

It's pretty common to have a bit of pause when launching a heavily modded game because of how mod organizer load's the mods. The problem can be intensified by HQ texture pack as it further increases the amount of data that needs to be loaded. It does the same for my Skyrim setup.

I had a similar issue where it would be loading but seem as if it was not responding. I believe it has a little to do with Enboost. Try messing around with that and seeing if that helps any. Large mods such as texture packs usually only make the menu screen take longer to show making you go through more slides, but it seems like you are having a slightly different issue like I was.
